They have received my OOT. They said that I should receive a thing? in about 5 weeks. But the bailiffs should be on hold. The phone call was not very clear.

I would ask for guidance on pepipoo.com. You must act quickly and properly when the Council do write to you, this will be your chance to appeal successfully.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The 'thing'; should be the decision.
Five weeks seems excessive to me.

You would well advised to become familiar with the N244 as it is likely that you will need it.

    Well, a bad update...

I sent the letter away, didn't hear back for over a month. While I was on holiday I received a rejection reply. By the time I got home it was too late to reply. So I came back to the bailiffs again.

They were threatening to "empty my house" etc. I called rossendales bailiffs and they said they can't help me, I have to deal with their bailiff via his mobile phone.

Long story short, I folded. I paid the fee before it got worse, £430.

I feel sick. All this when I didn't do anything wrong and had solid proof I had a ticket. I even received another ticket in the mean time at the same car park, I was completley at fault.. I was 5/10 minutes late for the ticket, so I paid it the same day.

Is there anything I can do now? or is this money long gone.

Sorry to say that you got taken for a ride for £430 on the parking ticket.

For levying distress where the sum due is not more than £100 they can charge £25.
For more than £100 25% on the 1st £200 and 5% on any sum over £200.

For attending to levy distress but where no levy is made reasonable costs, but not more than the fees that could be charged in levy made.

Fee for letters can only be charged if sent before 1st visit.

Can only charge for 3 visits.

I would write to baliffs and ask for breakdown of charges, you can find all info on another website google "CAG", it is not a data protection request but a screen shot of your account.

You can then request the money back and tale them to small claims court.

Also check if registered as balliff.

Go to "CAG" forum all details will be there.
I all have learnt is from others on many sites.
    Seek legal help if unsure.
Dont pay Private Parking tickets - they are mere invoices.
