If you are saying that you cannot deal the switchboard number all I can suggest is getting a neighbour to assist you get through the initial part of the call so that you do connect with a TEC official.
Is there no options presented that allows talking to someone ?
Try using any options that suggests contact with a person on any issue at all and then explain to them.
Or ask a neighbour to help.
5 options
1) Automated. Press 8 to repeat
2) Automated. Press 8 to repeat
3) Automated. Press 8 to repeat
4) Automated. Press 8 to repeat
5) Automated. Press 8 to repeat
I can't find any options or ways to talk to anybody, and I will need to as I think the whole situation needs explaining, especially considering it was approx 8 months ago.0 -
Hi again guys, can anybody help me with this TEM? I've called and tried every option and they all just end up telling me the website address. I am sorry but I'm useless at dealing with things like this because to be honest, I never need to.
I've been calling 0845 7045007
What do I need to do? Bailiffs hold comes off Wednesday
Firstly, keep asking on pepipoo.com as they have more knowledge than on here.
Secondly, try ringing the TEC again or faxing them or sending a special delivery letter:- 5th floor, St Katharine's House,

So far, we haven't been told what the original contravention code was. That may well help in your defence if no contravention has occurred.
It doesn't matter too much if you can't scan or post the original ticket, just give us the gist of the info on there, including any codes and text that you can quote. Depending on what you tell us, the answer may be simple.0 -
Thanks guys, I am also posting on that other forum pepipoo. I hope nobody minds but I need as much help as possible. Everybody is being great here and there and I really appreciate it. If I come across like I don't then I apologize, the whole thing is just getting on my nerves.
In the morning I'll take pictures of my ticket and the original fine that was on my windscreen, I've kept it all :j0 -

I've just looked on the ticket and it says the contravention code is 830 -
As I mentioned on the Pepipoo thread, this is an appeal point.
The contravention code you should have been issued was 89 (exceeding the weight limits) and not 83 (not displaying valid parking voucher).
However the council could argue the parking voucher is not valid as you exceeded the weight limit, easy enough to counter as you simply question the excistance of code 89 if 83 suffices.
Any luck with TEP yet?0 -

Thanks, yeah I got through to them today by pressing button 6
She has sent me some emails that need filling and returning, I'm just trying to find office with 97/98 on it because that is what she said I have to do it in. Then I'll send them back and hopefully I can appeal or whatever and call the horrible bailiffs off. I will call them today and just explain, but I've got a feeling they will be coming down hard after I've had them on hold0 -
Pleas to the bailiff will be ignored, they just want your money.
You need to file that declaration ASAP that is your only way to stop things.
Any version of Word or OpenOffice that can edit the file can be used.
Later versions of Word can do this fine.
Move quickly.0 -

Done and sent today, I doubt it will be read until tomorrow. AHhHhh :eek:0 -
Did you not Fax the completed form to the TEC ?
Did you post it first class, recorded delivery or special delivery ?0
