Unfortunately you don't get a choice which water supplier you have.

Seems the only utility monopoly still remaining!

    UNDERGROUND :D

Really? Even in London the heart of Thatcher's 'free market' Britain?!

They only search experian & equifax but report to all three.

I note that you know the above information because you work for Natwest. We are deciding whether or not to apply to Natwest for a mortgage. My problem is that I have 1 default on my credit file and therefore would probably have to use my husband's sole name for the time being.

Do Natwest take Tax Credits into consideration?

I know Nationwide do but both people mentioned on the Tax Credits award letter have to be on the mortgage to qualify. Any info would be appreciated.

    Many thanks

Have just applied for Bank of Scotland Platinum Mastercard.

Quite surprised to see that they searched Callcredit. Haven't checked the other 2 agencies yet.

I have an overdraft with my current account @ Clydesdale and it shows up on call credit (noddle) as well as the others, so OP needs updating.

BOS didn't search any of the main 3 CRAs for a recent BT credit card from them. First time I've ever had a new CC with no recorded credit search
  • Nationwide search both Experian and Equifax.

Yep, BOS / Halifax search Experian and Call Credit for credit cards.

I know LTSB used to, not sure if they still do, I assume they still do as they're all under one hat now.

Nationwide search both Experian and Equifax.

For what product and was the search with Equifax a hard search.

I recently was accepted with Nationwide for a current account and only Experian was searched.

    Thanks

It was a hard search and it was for a bog standard cashplus account that we use for our bills.

Bizarre. I've got 2x full current accounts, a credit card and mortgage with Nationwide, every time they've searched Ex, but I've never had a search on Eq from them.

My last product was a month ago, so I doubt it's a new policy of theirs...maybe they go to Eq if your Ex score is borderline? Never heard of them searching Eq based on stories on here before though.
