I have no real question to ask, but i would like to offer the following;

Last month i made a final payment on a 300pm welcome finance loan, despite 3 mths of redundancy and loads of hardship i never missed a single payment. Worked 60hrs a week to keep my finances out of the toilet.
Seems welcome had me down with EX as AP for 2yrs, i sub to EQ and never knew till yesterday when i was knocked back for a BT card and staring down the barrel of a 19.9% hit on a 4.2k balance. The bank of 15years blew me off siting EX.
I spent my only day off a week !!!!!! off royally, so we get to now.

read this and the related thread for over an hour, popped over to ASDA Money and applied for the card.

5k limit headline rate and 12mth 0% BT, i did this because this thread gave some very valuable info about them not looking at EX.

All that remains is to offer my sincerest gratitude to the contributors here.

I am actually so outraged with these Welcome idiots. Indeed had they not moved 7 times in the last 4yrs further and further from me, i would find it impossible not to go punch someone on the nose. my xmas dinner in 2009 was beans on toast, because if i sign i pay what i owe.
ended up at welcome because cap1 gave me my 1st cc 200 limit said free to pay at bank. Bank tried to charge the same amount again as a fee, i was so credit naive then lmfao. cap1 wouldn't help instead started hammering charges on till it got to 1000, needless to say i refused to pay so default sat there 6yrs.

never paid out of principle, too stubborn. If only i knew then what i do now. bet thats cost me 1000's more in sub-prime interest doh.

v12 finance search Callcredit - report to Experian, no accounts appeared (as yet) with other two CRA's will update if they do report.

Just an update: M&S Bank (HSBC Link?)
They checked Experian and Equifax!

Also, the energy company SSE checked me on Experian a full credit check and not just an ID search.

Thanks for the info. I'm assuming when you say M&S Bank you are referring to their current account product? If so, this is powered by HSBC but I have created a separate entry within current accounts to make it easier to find.
