Any one know who Sainsbury bank check with?Wins 2009:Total : £2500 :jFirst they came for the crack users; but I said nothing. I was not a crack user. Then they came for the heroin users. But I said nothing - I was not a heroin user. Then they came for me. There was no one left to speak for me. (after Pastor Niemoller)0

hi there,
what is the difference between a 'search' and a 'report'?
Thanks!0 -
Search refers to which credit reference agencies a creditor checks with when you apply for an account with them.
Report refers to which credit reference agencies report your account conduct to.
So whilst First Direct (for example) may only look at your experian credit file to see how your credit is when you apply for an account with them, they tell all three (Experian, Equifax, and Call Credit) how you're doing once you've opened an account with them.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

I'll paypal you a tenner, sar them and post the page that shows "Customer Profile AOD" which contains the behavioural lending limits  They tell you anything on the phone, to make you go away! Don't believe them.Yes I get the same screens on mine, I haven't gone through the process though as it is subject to a credit check on Experian and Call Credit.
I spoke to the Advance team the other day and they confirmed a footprint is left against all overdraft increase requests irrespective of internal rating.
That and it would cost #25 as I've just reduced mine by half
EDIT: I viewed my score on the personal banker's screen last week when I collected my Advance CGC.
Several teams advised me that they have abolished lending limits now and refer to external reference agencies for all applications. They may have all mis-informed me, but that's what I've been told and it seems to reflect my experiences, too.Debt-Regret wrote: »p.s I know my behaviour score will let me apply up to £2000 before being declined that is why I can reapply for an increase immediately after applying for, and getting accepted. Trust me, I know my stuff with HSBC.
