CREDIT CARDS
Allied Irish Bank (incl. Saga, First Trust Bank)
Search: EQ
Report: EX, EQ
We assume that they use Equifax only
bear in mind Saga are reported as declining applications if the applicant holds four or more credit cards elsewhereHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Cheers Dr. I have my saga card for 2 years and was looking for another 1.
May look into the post office card, does it give an instant yes/no mate??0 -
Any idea who Nationwide and Sainsbury's uses for bank accounts and, more importantly, their loan products?
Also, does anyone know of loan providers that check just Experian and don't need you to have a bank account with them?
Thanks0 -

In the case of Cumberland , IF and N&P - they are old accounts that have started reporting recently so I do not know who they search for new applicationsHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. N&P searches experian for their applications for current accounts.0 -
N&P searches experian for their applications for current accounts.
Interesting that they dont report to Experian then
its not listed in the useful addresses on Experian
"Useful addresses
The following addresses will help you to contact lenders or other organisations if you want to ask them about information on your report"
or "Account information"
They started reporting to Equifax in March 2010 "NORWICH & PETERBOROUGH BULDNG SCITY (I)"
I am also surprised that there is no mention of N&P Current accounts at the start of this thread , only mortgages are listed
Have you applied to N&P ?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
N&P claim to use all three - so it may be pot luck like Metrobank which one they use for the initial search

My girlfriend is with N&P which she has been with since 2008,and I can defiantly verify they credit checked her on Experian at the time.
They might have changed now mate but at the time it was defiantly Experian.
