You would need to contact Barclays, Experian would not be able to help you.

Also, check that the details on the account (i.e. name and address) match the details you used when requesting your credit file. Sometimes differences in name or address formats can create a mis-match and an account will not show on your credit file.

Is the 'cash account' Barclays' basic account? I'm not sure whether these are routinely reported or not. I'm sure someone else who has one will be able to advise.

Does anyone know whether Santander search only Experian for loans (they are listed as doing so for accounts, finance, credit cards, etc. but nothing for loans)?

I want to apply for a loan but need to be wary as my Equifax report is poor.

Just applied for a loan with Santander and had my Equifax file checked immediately (credit search) and nothing on my Experian file (yet)

YES i applied for a RE-MORTGAGE with yorkshire 'building society' and they ONLY checked equifax

ALMOST FORGOT............they APPROVED me for it and i had a 5 year old default on my file, took a quick ring to the HEAD OFFICE to see if they were 'ok' with it and hey presto

bobs your uncle and fanny's your aunt.............

ALTHOUGH ihad 70k equity in my property at the time which may have 'helped'
