I've just found out that virgin are using their own in house credit checking serivce & so are NOT sharing information good or bad with equifax or experian (at the moment) which if like me you are trying to rebuild credit rating after bankruptcy is not good.. HELP !!!!!!!! Without virgin going back to equifax or experian is there anything i can do for the next 20 mths till my contract runs out ???
My advice for anybody looking to fix their credit up with a mobile phone contract would be start off with a sim only with orange, voda or 02 after a year of paying on time the network SHOULD be happy to let you have a normal contract......0 -
Update
I have a Tesco loan and yesterday applied for a top up on my original loan. Checked CRA today and they have searched both Experian and Equifax.

I'm looking for a shared-ownership mortgage from a lender who only searches with Experian.

I am not sure why Bank of Ireland have been listed as searching Experian only when my own experience is that they search Equifax only for Credit cards and current accounts
and there are not any posts in this or the previous "who uses who" threads to suggest that BOI search ExperianInnocent_Guy wrote: »

BOI only searched Equifax for me but they report to both. Experian seems to be faster though.
My daughter uses yorkshire bank and she says they update both equifax and experian, she also has the ikea card and says likewise. My Mrs has the BT card and Argos Home Shopping card with the silly dolphin on it - ugly looking thing!UNDERGROUND wrote: »CREDIT CARDS
Bank Of Ireland (incl. Post Office Card)
Search: EX, EQ
Report: EX, EQ
again , it is my experience that Bank of Ireland only search Equifax for credit cards and Post Office only search Experian and I cannot find any posts on the other threads stating that they search both Experian and Equifax
