Creation group being strict? That's a turn up for the books!
Although TBH I doubt I'd have a trouble as a tenant anyway as my debt : income ratio is at ~ 13%, I've a 100% flawless history on my Equifax file, and have a stable job / residency.
The reason I'm not going to bother now is due to too many recent searches on EQ and don't need it now anyway; only once the 0% deals have expired on my cards and I've passed my driving testCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

I have tried getting a loan from them several times and eventually I spoke with an underwriter hold gave me the low down and they also take a very serious view on lots of searches which is what is stopping getting a consolidation loan.
Quite right, too.
I think generally loans are stricter than credit cards with searches. Although that is just an assumption based on prior experience - Abbey National (back in the day) turned me down and their underwriter left notes on the system not to approve a subsequent application until absolutely NO credit searches in the last six months appear on my credit file. (Although they had no giffs about lending me £137,000 for a mortgage a couple of months later! Oh how they've regretted that...)
I presume Creation are similarly strict (they are from what you say) so I will be waiting until January at the earliest before applying - I don't need it until then anyway, so no excuse for me to make any more footprints between now and then!

Excellent thread folks, really really helpful! I can confirm that RBS search Equifax for a Graduate Loan.
I wondered if anyone knew who Co-op Bank search for a loan. Also does anyone know who AA search for a loan which is provided by Co-op?
Thanks in advance.0 -

Credit File incorrect.......
I have a question about my credit file and cant see where to post it on the forum.....
I have recently found some incorrect info on the credit file. I have asked Equifax for it to be amended, they, rightfully so have requested that I obtain a Certificate of Settlement for the company in question. I have asked the company for the info but they don’t seem to have it on file. This account was over 6 years ago (Apr 2003) however the credit file says that the account was only settled in Mar 2005 (this date being incorrect) I have no paperwork from the company to prove otherwise. How do I force the company in question to prove otherwise and what am I within my rights to do I am stuck in a limbo situation that is scoring down my credit score?
Can you help?0 -

Raise a notice of dispute via Equifax' online dispute thingy, and if the company does not agree via the notice of dispute route (you'll need to check Experian, too, and raise a separate notice of dispute through them) then raise a complaint with the Information Comissioner's Office.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
