    TMA = tutor marked assignment.

    I know this meerustar as I'm half way through an open university degree, and I've done plenty of voluntary work, and hold down a full time job, and have three children, and I am eager MSE'er, I make my own birthday and christmas presents often (and cakes), I cut coupons, I run a house, have a mortgage, have three children, three dogs and a cat, I can make clothes, curtains, knit, sew, type (and hae done so for extra income), cook, wipe noses and @rses, help with coursework, help with cv writing and all without the help of a partner together with a million and one other things! (oh, and being female I can do more than one at once!

    Welcome to the world of single parents.

    My posts were not aimed at anyone specifically, I know both sets of single parents... those who sit and do nothing all day and those who work damn hard to make good.

    I myself was a single parent for a few years (now happily married), and I found it really hard, but got myself into a routine and got myself off benefits. Some have no options and I feel for them, but a lot of us do .. and use having kids as an excuse to stay at home.

    I know that SP have children to look after, washing to do, ironing, cooking, cleaning, gardening, etc etc ... but then so does everyone else. Its not exclusive to SP to keep a home looking good.

    Anyway, like I say, my posts weren't about judging anyone, they were just my opinion

    Thanks

    ... although it's exclusive to single parents that they do it on their own rather than part of a couple!

  • What a shame this thread degenerated as it did towards the end :(

    It never fails to amaze me how the "anonymity" of the internet seems to bring out the worse in "some" people and they think they can get away with insulting and abusing other posters :(

    I hope those affected didn't take the nasty comments to heart and are feeling ok this evening *hugs* :A
