Just had an email from them with a £25 off a £150 spend, better than nowt, not that im planning on getting anything!

I recieved that e-mail too. Not planning on placing another order with them though! It would've been great to get the telly, but I think most of us knew we wouldn't get it for that price! I've enjoyed reading all the post though:D
  • Let me just point out again - I think all the members who are threatening to take the company to court over a simple mistake are fraudsters and trying to get something for virtually nothing so none of you try to take the moral high ground with men you are all hypocrites.

Can you imagine the uproar if someone tried to take advantage of a mistake THEY made in such a manner? We'd never hear the last of it! :D

I'm all for grabbing glitches and sometimes push my luck a bit and yep sometimes even let the greed monster get the better of me, but I never spend money I can't afford to lose and treat it all as a game. I'll win some and lose some, but if overall I save money on a month by month basis then I'm happy.

Some of you need to relax a little, take a step back and readjust your priorities in life.

There endeth French Knickers sermon for the day. :A

    Boring!

    Amusing,

In the broadest sense, a fraud is an intentional deception made for personal gain or to damage another individual. The specific legal definition varies by legal jurisdiction. Fraud is a crime, and is also a civil law violation. .

Definitions of slander on the Web:
    • words falsely spoken that damage the reputation of another
    • defame: charge falsely or with malicious intent; attack the good name and reputation of someone; "The journalists have defamed me!" "The article in the paper sullied my reputation"
    • aspersion: an abusive attack on a person's character or good name
Showman Bill, one cannot be a fraudster if they are using due legal process to settle a matter, plenty of ex wives are sitting in palatial houses with ample maintence payments for life as a result of due legal process. However, one spouting slander can just as easily be taken to the cleaners through that process and don't think for one moment there are people on here who do not like a legal challenge.

    Law is exciting.

The £25 voucher off a £150 spend was indeed a joke and an opportunity to profit on their error. God loves a trier.
It would have been much more better for them (only in my opinion) to say offer a £20 off £50 voucher in full and final settlement and to eliminate any chance of a claim against them.
A claim against these could well be sucessful, it could also possibly fail, there is one small doubt I have.

The original T&C's do look very favourable in making a claim. I still can't believe companies still make this mistake - there are "off the shelf" T&C's out there to cover this sort of issue.

Good luck if you go down the small claims route, but first give them a chance to decline your request to honour their offer before sending out a LBA.

Totally dismiss the doubters, they were wrong with both of the B&Q glitches. MSE members did indeed win in both of these cases.

It looks like they have removed some of the responses to offending posts. I'm really glad they are doing this, I'm all for free speech but I've noticed since Xmas that some of the posts across the forums have been really nasty and unnecessary.
But they weren't in reply to anything, they were saying how I still hadn't had my refund and asking if anyone else was in the same boat. :(

Sorry, there's so much going on here I don't know who posted what anymore. Maybe it was just human error and someone went a bit OTT with the delete button.
My paypal refund is safely back in the bank. Funnily enough, the money was both taken out and returned to my account by paypal on Thursday.
July- coconut body shop body butter, pom bear football, mini johnsons lotion, Sally Hansen nail treatments

    Crazy Clearance Deals!
    64% off!

    Question:
How can a 64% reduction be entirely reasonable, yet an 85% reduction is 'deemed vile'.

Seems to me Pixmania are trying to have their cake & eat it.

That is a point I am trying to get them to clarify and have been since the day of the problem. Not trying to get the TV just want them to explain how anyone is supposed to know the difference and how anyone can trust their site if price is critical.
I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.
  • yes, I had an email today from them i thought mmmmm dare I trust these prices.........
