The assumption must be Tom that they would claim the costs involved in a mass claim. It would be a pretty big amount if it went all the way and they were sucessful.
I would imagine they could take out insurance to limit any losses, but obviously they would only go ahead if confident.

My order was cancelled. The money left my bank account the following day and is now on temporary hold in paypal with No date for when it will be released and sent back to my bank.

I dont see any point in paying a solicitor to do something you could do yourself with a few spare hours a week, as you'd still have to have all that time to fiill in solicitors paperwork etc etc.

I have no experience whatsoever in making any sort of claim which has so far put me off from doing much about this even though I know what pixmania has done is wrong. If anyone could direct me to a reliable website that explains how to go about this, I'd be grateful.
I know I could google it myself but to be honest with the web being the big free for all it is, I can well imagine finding a few sites with conflicting advice which would result in me giving up before I start.

fazeypie, follow the advice from TBeckett100, he's the boy who knows his stuff. He is currently setting up his website to help with future claims.

I have also received the £25 voucher from pixmania - thanks but no thanks!

My funds are still showing as earmarked by my cc and that is now 6 days later.

Thanks for that, I thought maybe he was just gathering a stash of screenshots for people to use. I was tucked up in bed on my iPod when I ordered so unfortunately don't have any screenshots of my own.
Thankyou lynsey and thanks very much to tbeckett100 for all of your advice and opinions.
I probably would've just tutted loudly and added them to my 'swines' list and left it at that without people like you giving me the confidence to go ahead and stand up for myself. :)

I'm another that ordered, paid by paypal & then had order canx. etc.

I am a member of the Which? legal Service. I think I might contact them to see what they say. It will not cost me anything to try....has anyone else done this already?

It would appear that behind the scenes Dixons Stores Group (DSG) and I can assume their city law firm are now monitoring these forums and lossofbargain.

Whilst the website is underway (for which I ask your patience), I would like to remind everyone to keep chat down as the idea will be to approach this in stages.

Fundamentally the website will deal with each stage at a time and therefore will not be giving away all legal arguments from the beginning as alerting the otherside to the battle plan is not always the best foot forward.

What it will do is get everyone onto stage 1 , then when the time periods are reached, launching the next plan of attack. I hope everyone can see the logic here.
