Hi,just made first payment to payplan for our dmp.Had a dreadful day with a company called csl (for mbna) ringing me,they continually ring my place of work, and today i lost it with the bloke, and yes a few naughty words! I thought they weren't allowed to keep doing this? It's annoying my boss and is causing embarressment when people ask who they are! Can i do anything to stop them? Good to see a thread on dmp's,feeling nervous about it all with the threatning letters coming through now thick and fast,i'll keep checking here, and hope it makes me feel better! Hi to all!

Yiur chances of losing your home do not change, as i said so long as you keep up tour morgage/secured loan payment your home will not be at risk ant more than it already isAll comments and advice given is my own opinion and does not represent the views or advice of any debt advice organisation.

You can write to them and ask for it to be removed, legally they have to comply and if they don't you can report them to Trading Standards

Hi everyone..
Just had offers of acceptance from EGG and MORGAN STANLEY. There is no mention of freezing interest, not sure if they do this with some and not others. Still haven't heard from the others (5) but keeping fingers crossed.
Since I contacted CCCs I have ignored every call made to my landline and mobile but am wondering whether I should phone and speak to my creditors personally. What dye think?
I actually feel physically sick today about it all. I think my concerns stem from the mention of bailiffs etc on this site. WG please help!!! Can they turn up? My b/f knows nothing about this and I would die if he found out this way..
Reassurance needed urgently!!!!

Hello all
my DMP is due to start on 1/ 10 and so far it seems to be ok. 3 out of 9 of my creditors have accepted and frozen interest (that includes MBNA who were the first to respond!!) and am just waiting for the others. The phone calls continue but have simply turned off my ringer at home so it just flicks to answer phone and by lucky co-incidence all our work numbers have changed so its all quiet here!
The hardest thing is adjusting to the budget,, i must admit i have fallen off the wagon and spent a weeks cash on a night out (throughly enjoyed myself) and now have 9 quid to last me til friday, still that at least it is my £9 and not £9 remaining on a credit card which is how i used to live before!!
I have found CCCS to be super helpful, though i do phone regulary for updates and advice.
All in all its the best thing i have done, thank god the lightbulb was switched on and thanks to this board for all your support.
next step is to have £9 left over at the end of next month...small steps!!
Good luck to you all

Hi Lola,
My dmp also starts on the 1st Oct. The phone calls have certainly calmed down quite a bit so hopefully things will start to even out from here.
Have you been given your new password and logged onto their new website? It's fab and all your info is there for you to see in plain english.
Anyway, good luck to you too

I’m really not sure what your asking, as I said before you only put your home at risk if you do not pay your mortgage or anything else secured on it, by entering a DMP your home does not become any more at risk. All comments and advice given is my own opinion and does not represent the views or advice of any debt advice organisation.

Hi all :hello:
I had to resurrect this thread to tell you I've had a nice letter from one of our creditors :j
Alliance and Leicester have agreed to our offer of £5 per month, until March 2007 :T
We have actually just been able to increase our payments from £5 per creditor to £17, but hey
Nationwide are still putting up our interest rates and generally being a pain  , but it's good to know some do try to help
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:
