Hi Spud and everyone, I was also thinking, that it had been quiet. Personally we have not had anymore replies as yet to OH Dmp, we are still waiting on Capital one and a few others, Lloyds said no-way, but dropped interest etc and Egg on one part said yes, but no on the other!!!.
Hope everyone else is doing ok, I did send a letter complaining about the phone calls from Viking and they wrote back and said.....Sorry and they have not called since!!!!

OH begining Dmp 08/20060 -
Hi all
Well everything was going really well, all calls etc stopped and we were finally making a reduction in our debt for the first time in years.
Then we found out yesterday that my husbands contract at work will finish at the end of October.
Not the greatest news just as everything was settling down.
He is frantically looking for a new one so fingers crossed something comes up quickly and it doesn't set us back too much.
Does anyone know whether we can just reduce our DMP for a couple of months if he doesn't get a job or ends us doing temporary work as there is no way we will be able to pay just from my wage?

You can reduce to a min payment (£5 per cred) for a short time to allow yourself to get sorted again, just give your DMP peeps a call.

Thanks WG, we will be ok until the December payment, so hopefully he will have something by then. I will give them a call and let them know we may need to do this, typical that it happens just as things were looking up for us!

I've been using MSE suggestions for a couple of months and through a combination of things debt has gone up a little rather than down, we have our heads just above water but only just, we've talked about approaching CCCs but b'cos we are "ok" OH prefers it this way.
Me I'm not so sure, but I was also wondering, what happens if you start a dmp and your circumstances change like getting pregnant?
Can we lose our house and what happens about remortgaging, can you or you just have to pay the variable rate when it kicks in after fixed period?
Thanks I know i'm not on dmp but thought you folks might know

If your circumstances change then you will need to contact your DMP company and let them know and they will asses your circumstances and advise you as necessary.newleafer wrote:Me I'm not so sure, but I was also wondering, what happens if you start a dmp and your circumstances change like getting pregnant?

You can lose your home if you fail to keep up your mortgage or secured loan payments. I know nothing more about re mortgaging except that it is normally a BAD idea.

Hi all - my DMP seems to be going ok - except Royal Bank of Scotland whom i had a current account with !! Because of charges they have added this has taken us well over the overdraft limit by about £480..........this is due to all the charges THEY have been adding on!! Wrote to them asking if they would consider freezing interest and charges and they said NO!!
What should I do now?
