Is that yoghurt from the value range? I buy the value cottage cheese (the only fat free one my local tesco's stock as the selection is tiny) and its really yummy and half the price of the other branded cottage cheeses the same size.
Yea thats it, 35p for 500g, the plain white tub with blue writing. But I would think any of the plain ones would taste good with a flavour added.

You'll need to squish them up a bit, Aliscrapper, or put them quickly thru the blender, as the mushy peas do the job of thickening the "sauce" - I agree that I can't taste them, but as I neither like nor dislike them I probably just don't notice. They aren't so different from thickening a curry with lentils. Now if someone sneaked some :eek:CARROT  in I would know - I hate carrot with a vengeance, dunno why.

    .

    Thank you!

Hope you feel better soon Takeiteasy!

Good luck for weigh in Lisa! I know I hate weigh in as no matter how good I've been I always fear what the scales will say and if I've been bad I'm definitely running scared!

and Takeiteazy -hope you are better soon

Skint Lynne -I don't like tinned mushies either ..it has to be dried ones or lockwoods do some yummy frozen ones :p

I think the BBQ sauce would be nice on chicken ...once I have cooked tonight kebabs I will pop on and let you know what they are like (sometimes things taste totally different when they have stood) -but the fresh sauce was yummy...

SW barbecue sauce *taken from sw 100 sauces*
    free on all programes
    serves 4

    freezable
    • fry light (I use 1/2tsp oil)
    • 1 onion roughly chopped
    • 1tsp mild chilli powder (I used 1 dried chilli bashed up)
    • 8floz passata
    • 3tbsp sweetener (I only needed 2tsp)
    • 4tbs balsamic (I only used 2 as I have a concentrated one)
    • 1tbs worcestershire sauce
    • 1/2tsp mustard powder
    • seasoning
    1. Spray a pan with fry light and saute the onion over a low heat until softened
    2. add everything else and bring to the boil, then reduce and simmer for 10 mins until thickened
    3. season to taste
    4. serve hot or cold..
Well my EE meals for today are:-
    • 250ml semi skimmed (a)

:hello: Morning! I woke up ravenous today- not sure what that's all about!

Off for a very long walk later this morning, so I think I will be having a hungry day today. Not a problem as long as I plan lots of free foods in.

B- Porridge (HEB) made with 200ml s/s milk (HEA). Tbsp Maple Syrup (2 syns). Rest of milk used in teas.

L-Jacket Potato with salad, tuna and mayonnaise (2 syns), Banana, Plum

D-Syn free quorn chilli, potato wedges, cottage cheese. SF Jelly (0.5 syn) with strawberries and blueberries.

Cereal bar (5 syns), Options (2 syns) = 11.5 syns

Cottage cheese with chilli is my top tip for a syn free way to recreate the chilli and sour cream vibe.

Morning all , well failed again last night I am so so so starving all the time I hope that the fact that Im broadly sticking to the plan will mean I dont put ON weight but you never know. This depo injection is to blame im sure. So had a bowl of cereal and 3 jaffa cakes  late at night on top of the pom bears.

I hadnt had crisps for over a week and my oh my they tasted so greasy. So not worth the syns!

Oh well i have to go to market today and get more more veg and fruit. We too having the quorn chilli and wedges tonight, probably with boiled rice as well :) great tip about the cottage cheese, Ive also used fromage frais before but its not quite as "fresh".

Have got a turkey breast roast out of the freezer and I'll roast that off tonight for sandwiches and salads through the week.

Have got some couscous left over from last night so will knock up a salad using grilled peppers/aubergines/courgettes, and spring onions and whatever other bits I can find to cram in .
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Morning everyone. 2 days to weigh in lol! I've had more syns than normal this week but walked 20miles on Saturday and 3 miles on SUnday so will hopefully be ok. Tea is at OH's parents tonight so could be anything and is unlikely to be low syn so I've to be good all day!!! Not sure what type of day to have so will see what tea is. Here's the plan:

Brekkie - porridge with mixed berries (HEA&B)
Lunch - tomato & herb pasta&sauce with sweetcorn and tomatoes
    Snacks - fruit
    Tea - who knows?!
