Thanks Laura2481 I love M&S but unfortunately nearest one is nearly an hour drive away, probably a good job too as I always buy naughty things when I go there:o! It just seemed strange that smoked mackerel was the only one, will have to stick to normal stuff for now0

The recipe was from a SW curry book, think it's called Curry Heaven. I think it has 50 recipes in, so not the huge book. I will try to rember to post the recipe on here. I stuck it in the slow cooker instead of following the cooking instructions and added the spinach about two hours before I ate it.0

Gien, I do think that being organised is the way to do it.
It's harder, though not impossible, to self sabotage when you have had a nice but SW lunch and have your tea planned. I get into trouble when I skip meals, which sometimes happens at work, and then succumb to the chocolate....
Although talking about chocolate I must find out how many syns in the options turkish delight hot chocolate. Two for £4 in the Co-op and I love it!!!0 -
Recipe for Mousakka from the Slimming World site
Ingredients:
2 large aubergines (or 4-5 courgettes if preferred)
Fry Light
1 large onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
300g Quorn mince
2 x 400g cans chopped tomatoes
2 tsp cinnamon (or to taste)
2 tsp chilli (or to taste)
For the white sauce
250g fat free natural yogurt or quark
2 large eggs
168g reduced fat Cheddar cheese, gratedMethod:
If you have time, salt the aubergines and leave overnight to remove water.- Slice the aubergines into 1cm thick discs and pat dry with kitchen roll. Gently fry them in a pan sprayed with Fry Light until brown and the skin begins to crisp, and set aside.
- Wipe the pan, spray with Fry Light again and cook the onions and garlic gently to soften, then add the Quorn mince, chopped tomatoes, cinnamon and chilli and bring to the boil. After 5 minutes reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Whilst the Quorn mixture is simmering, mix all the ingredients for the white sauce in a bowl until combined and smooth. (If using quark, add tepid water to soften the mixture, but to avoid cooking the egg).
- Once cooked, layer an oven dish with half the aubergines, top with the mince mixture, add another layer of aubergines, and top with the white sauce. Place in a pre-heated oven (200°C/Gas 6) for 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
If using lamb or beef mince on the Green plan count this as Syns or a Healthy Extra ‘b’ choice.INFORMATIONSyns per serving: Free on Extra Easy, Green and Original*
*Add 6 Syns per serving if not using reduced fat cheddar cheese as a Healthy Extra ‘a’ choice
Serves: 4
Preparation time: 30 minutes
Cooking time: 50 minutes

Hello, I'd like to join (back) into this thread if I might please. I've been signed up to the online SW for what seems like forever and I have basically been self sabotaging and being really pathetic.)
Welcome gien :T
I know all about self-sabotaging, but I can honestly say that being on this thread has really helped me. I must say, though, I'd find it hard to do on-line only - I know it suits a lot of people, but I need the weekly meet and WI to keep me on track.
But I have to say that In the past 7 weeks I have lost nearly half a stone and dropped a dress size (to be fair I was between sizes but just never quite made it into the next size down)
1lb a week doesn't sound much, I know, but it is amazing what a difference it has made - I have a full length mirror in my hall way and normally I HATE walking past it seeing some frumpy middle aged woman who looks like my mum, looking back at me (in my head I am still 40 and a size 12 ). But now I can't believe the new me in my new jeans! It has really spurred me on to lose another half stone before my hols :-)
Stick with it, and keep postingI'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
Online there were some for 2, some for 2.5 and some for 3, but nothing about the Turkish Delight flavour.
Thank you!!!0 -

I've had a really bad last few days. Mainly due to it not being shopping day until tomorrow. Have counted my syns but it's not been good! Its not going to get any better either because its quiche for tea
Have planned my meals for next few days though so I am prepared when I go shopping. Was thinking of having an Iceland honey glazed gammon joint on Sunday, would anybody happen to know how many syns in this please?
Also I was reading about the humous, do you think that instead of fromage frais I could use very low fat natural yoghurt? I have some of that & I also have an old tin of chickpeas that I've never known what to do with!
Sorry for all the questions!!0
