It's a beautiful day out there today, hope every one is enjoying the warm weather?

I'm not sure what type of day I'm having yet, either EE or green as we haven't decided what to have for tea.

Whilst OH is out fishing I've had egg, mushrooms and tomatoes all cooked in frylight with a small can of baked beans for breakfast. For lunch I'm currently making my way through a huge bowl of frozen mixed berries and low at natural yoghurt, it's like eating fruity ice cream!

I have some quorn sausages in the oven for a snack whilst the footy is on.

I'm doing this ok I hope? really want to get the weight off for good this time, I was sooooo ashamed when I saw myself in my friends wedding pics!

Laura just to qualify it's perfectly fine to split your HE's in this way according to SW:

Q: Can I mix and match my Healthy Extras by halving the portions?

A: Yes, if you like - you’ll still lose weight beautifully! The downside is your speed and fibre symbols would have to be ignored unless your two halves had identical symbols. However, mixing and matching couldn't be done when there are multiple items in one choice. With all single item choices, feel free!

So cereal and houmous could be split on a green day as long as the cereal was a single item choice ie special k sustain and not something like the raisin bran which needs the ryvita added to it to make it a HEB choice:)

I split my HE's quite a lot although mostly the A's as I only drink skimmed milk or unsweetened soya and 350ml is way too much for me in a day unless I'm having a takeaway cappuccino or something.

Well, you learn summat new everyday :)
Think I'll stick to doing it the normal way but it's good to know...

hello - so I've got some chicken and pork kebabs with veg for the bbq and a pack of sainsbury's pasta salad with a clear dressing and bits of veg in it (the dressing is made with rapeseed oil I think) so i think i am still on track syn wise. I also bought a massive bowl of fresh salad. - Are there any low syn salad dressings???

If anyone is able to look up the pasta salad (it's Sainsbury's pasta salad with sweetcorn and pepper, it's 104 cals per 100g) for syn value that's be really helpful tho.

I also bought some ryvita (bleurgh) which I will begrudgingly eat with lots of yummy laughing cow extra light to make up my HeA and HeB choices until i've eaten all the raisin wheats!! :)

    Thanks :) B.

OK guys, I'm going to join u if thats ok? I did slimming world years ago and have just got my books out - I always knew they'd come in handy again lol.

Anyway, my question at this point is, will many of the syn values have changed?? Is there a list somewhere of the syn values??? I'm thinking of doing extra easy as it will fit in with my partners lifestyle.

Any help would be appreciated

Potato salad, pasta salad, coleslaw etc are lovely when they're home made and can be very low syn if you use the extra light mayo.

I use a mandolin slicer for the coleslaw and can very quickly make a huge mixing bowl full from one small white cabbage, one large carrot and an onion so it's cheap as well as being much nicer than shop bought.

Potato salad is also cheap and easy, dice a large potato (or use baby new ones). When cooked, chop a couple of spring onions into the potato - using all the green part too. Mix with extra light mayo or a mixture with the mayo and syn-free fromage frais - this makes it virtually syn-free if sharing with other people.

Ditto with pasta salad - cheaper and nicer when home made and the syn values can be kept to an absolute minimum.

Have you tried the seeded Ryvitas? There's one with pumpkin seeds and it's truely delicious - absolutely no bleurgh factor :)

Hi all, can anyone tell me if bran flakes can be a HEb? thanks a million

Yes, you get 28gms Bran Flakes and a Ryvita Dark Rye, Original or Sesame as well to make up the fibre content :)

Init HOT today, helps with the appetite though.

Today I have been mostly eating:

    B - weetabix milk [a] coffee

L - roast pork [avoided the crackling], mixed salad leaves, tomato, cucumber, new pots, boiled egg, babybel [2], beans AND the famous couscous frittas [oil 2] [HM by Hubby :D] , ex light salad cream [1.5]

T - more couscous frittas as there are loads [counted oil already so these are free], balsamic splash and more salad cream [1]

    Snacks - pineapple

    Syns - 6.5

Bugga me my password has stopped working  thought they lasted a fortnight.
