Well guys, wish me luck! I had a really bad week last week and gained 2.5lb

But I've lost it all now and want to continue losing so I have a really good loss for Tuesday WI.

I am going over to visit my Dad this weekend with it being Father's day. I've got round tonight's tea by offering to bring something in to give his wife a rest, so I'll call in at Mr T's on the way through and get some SW friendly finger food. Tomorrow I am having lunch with my sis but she is also on SW so we should be able to keep each other on track. I think the testing time will be Sunday and we are going out for a special pub lunch - I'ts not a carvery unfortunately but I'll probably stick to the roast and ask for extra veggies instead of potatoes and just hope that I have the willpower to refuse the desert.

I am going to a summer Ball on 3rd July, and I [STRIKE]want [/STRIKE] need to be able to get into my posh frock, so I really have to stay focussed.

It is SOOOooooo much easier when I am at home catering for myself...:A

Good luck to everyone over the weekend.

nope i tried it for a sauce once and it did the same so binned it
ive tried it hot cold sweet and savoury and have come to the conclusion i just dont like the texture of quark - it has a very dry claggy type of texture imo :o

I have often used it in sauces and soups, but I think the trick is to stir it in last and then very gently warm through again if needed - it seems to curdle if boiled.

Yup CLAGGY is the word that always comes to my mind too - I tried it on a bacon sandwich last week and couldn't drag my way through it, ended up letting the birds have the bread & quark and the cats ate the bacon because even that had had the juiciness sucked out of it  I always keep a tub in the fridge just in case I can find a use; I think I used it for something recently that wasn't too bad but I've forgotten what it was.
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

    hey ppl!

Today is the start of (yet another) weekend with the girls. Therefore i have no choice but to have a "flexi syn" weekend! After a vote it was decided that pizza hut was for dinner! I think i'm going to limit myself to 3 slices (about 60syns!) and make v v healthy choices when we have pub grub tomorrow afternoon!

    Wish me luck! lol.
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

    new beginnings...... new successes..

I love quark!! I find it to be a better SW quiche filling than cottage cheese and the sweet uses for it are unlimited. Lemon curd quark is my personal favourite!! :):) Its like eating lemon cheesecake!

Are you going to be there for the buffet thing?
They do have pastas and salads as well and, as I recall, the pastas were quite tasty :)

Back home after my week long visting to the UK and I have put on 2lb :( it must have been the alcohol, kebab meat and chips, macdonlads breakfast and 4 pub dinners that did it .. oh and 2 cream cakes. So my own fault ... my running total is now only 2.5lb down after 2.5 wks.

However, back on track as of yesterday and rareing to go.

    Today (EE)
B - 2 little toasts (B) frylite egg, tomato and mushrooms
L - H/M potato salad (1) ham, vegetable rice, and salad.
D - Beef tagine (2), cous cous and veggies. Low fat yog, sprinkle granola (4) bananas and grapes - a yummy pud.

Snx - depends whether we go out to watch the football

    Evening everyone

Vixie -I love quark too :D, out here we get them with herbs in and ready made into "tzatziki" too mmmmmm

So my meal plan today has turned out like this:-
    • 250ml semi skimmed (A)
    • 2 rashers bacon
    • 2 eggs -scrambled
    • mushrooms
    • tomatoes
    • melon
    • pineapple
    • cherries
    • pork chop
    • onions
    • 198g potato (B)
    • carrots
    • cauli
    • cabbage
I know lunch doesn't look much -just fruit, but I wasn't that hungry..but I will be ready for my dinner drool.gif
Now I have stuck onions and dried sage and seasoning in the remoska -put a pork chop on top then sliced the potato onto the top -poured a mug of stock over, covered with foil and cooked and now I have the foil off so the top will hopefully crisp up ....
I love just potatoes n onions done this way -but not exactly RED day friendly (especially as I would normally make fresh bread to go with it (pre-SW of course) redface.gifguess who is a carb junky at heart?biggrin.gif)-so this way I get the best of both worlds bliss.gif
I still need to use another A+B if I can and some syns need to be eaten..so I will sort that out later wink.gif

I picked up a pedometer today so i can monitor that Im walking enough -no problem on the days I got to the golf course with hubby ;)
I also picked quite a few goow whoopsied bargains.. pork steaks, lamb joint etc.. and some raspberries(brekkie tomorrow)
Have a great weekend everyone :D
