You could try fishing them out and adding more sliced onions and possibly a couple of stock cubes to take the edge off -how many have you put in?
A whole jar 400g...
Don't worry, It's not your fault at all. I was just hoping it was a typo.
Hubby is having a right laugh at me and my cooking (being blond and Swedish)
After 12 yrs in this country my cooking has improved buy I usually make one huge mistake a month.
Teach me to read the recipe through properly before I make something.
It got 20 min left in the oven before I can try it.
I'll let you all know if it is eatable :rotfl:0 -
Aw greenpixey, hope it is okay. I once made a cake with whipped cream in the middle with icing sugar beaten in. Except it wasnt icing sugar, it turned out to be cornflour! And there wasnt enough cream left to do it again!
In my defence the two tupperware tubs were identical. It added a little je ne sais quoi to my strawberry sponge though.
1st week back on the wagon and I lost 1.5. Am very happy with that, slow and steady and all that.
I was on the weighing station with the new cards, very clever! I really liked doing it and it broke the ice with some of the other people. I am sure I will get to know them more this way. I forgot to get any cash before going so only had just enough money to pay, is there somewhere else I could get some Scan Bran? I think that was the key this week, really helped having 2 in the morning.
We had a taster session, most people had forgotten, though there was a weetabix cake and I had made the pickled onion soup, people seemed to really like it though it was baking hot in Sheff today. The consultant guy brought a trifle, 8 syns for the whole thing, really tasty. Sounds like his wife invents SW desserts and things, yum yum!
Well done all the losers, hugs to those who dont feel so good, keep up the good work!God is good, all the time

Hi folks - well I am back on the wagon after a 2.5lb gain on Tuesday
On the plus side it has given me the kick up the bum I needed and I think I'm well on the way to losing it again for this week.
I went out and stocked up with veggies and meat for the freezer (I prefer red days with loads of veggies, as I don't like pasta and potatoes much, but it gets very expensive).
Yesterday I made the Thai chicken curry from the EE recipe book. TBH I wasn't impressed, it was very bland and not worth the effort. But I have some left over which I am going to spice up and whizz into a soup for today.
Fortunately I remembered to pick up some scan brans which are a life saver to me - am I the only person who actually enjoys scan bran? :rotfl::rotfl:
Good luck to everyone today, keep losing!I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -

Hello all
I'm looking for help with the syn count for creme fraiche
On the body optimise site it says - Creme fraiche, reduced fat, 1 level tbsp 1½ Syns
But in the superfree and free foods leaflet it says that low fat creme fraiche is a free food!!
I'm a little confused can anyone help?0 -
Are you sure it doesn's say low fat fromage frais in the free foods leaflets? That is syn free but creme fraiche has never been free in all the years I've been a member.0

- 1 banana
- 2 bacon
- 1 egg-scrambled
- mushrooms
- fresh tomatoes -heated through
- melon
- lettuce
- cucumber
- tomatoes
- celery
- peppers
- red onion
- carrot
- beetroot
- gherkin
- 50g Kraut salat (1.5)
- 2 seedy ryvitas (B)
- 1 laughing cow light (1.5)
- 1/2 tin tuna in water
- melon

- 42g low fat cheddar (A)
- SF jelly with mixed berries (0.5)

-I got some yogurts the other day 0.1% fat.... anyway I put the nutritional info into the online calculator and they came up as 3 syns....
out of curiosity I got the information for the muller light -vanilla with choc sprinkle off my mum -which are listed as free...BUT when I used the calculator they came up at 3 too -even if I selected the "free food allowance" option and picked yogurt I still got the same result -so now Im confuddled
It won't make any difference to me as I hate mullers and these new ones are no better(I will be sticking to my yummy scrummy full fat 8syn yogurts nomnomnom) -but it made me wonder.... especially for anyone who eats a lot of mullers -
hope I haven't given you brain ache with that waffleIm not sure if Im missing something obvious
hope everyone has a great day-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -

This is part and parcel of why I started looking at my calorie intake rather than just syns. Take for example a banana custard muller light - it's free but contains 103 calories! Similarly the new larger size Activia yogurts, raspberry flavour 77 calories.
I can appreciate that they are fat free so therefore better for you, but it is so easy to over-consume without realising.
Likewise with potato and pasta on a green day, and even eggs - the calories all add up although in theory they are all free.
I am still following the plan doing green and mix-to-max days, with the odd EE here and there, but I am carefully considering my choices rather than think, oh it's free, I'll eat it. It's got me back on track these last few weeks. Looking back at my food diaries from the last couple of months, it's clear to see what the problem has been. I was easily doing 2400 calories a day but only 5-9 syns!
Well done to all the losers and STS, and chins up to the gainers. Keep up the good work! :T0 -
Hi there 4li5on
I don't use many low fat products as i found that they make me crave more -so my yogurts are the full monty versions and 8 syns -but trust me they are worth every bit of that.... BUT I find that Im more satisfied with one of those and I don't even have one every day (even though I have plenty of syns for them)
I find that eating as I am -as little processed stuff as possible means Im not getting cravings -Im on my 9th week and as yet I have not had so much as a sniff of choc, crisps, cake, biccies etc .... and Im not missing anything at all -I LOVE SW :T
I don't count calories -but I have learnt to monitor my FREE foods... so instead of munching aimlessly on fruit (trust me -I can clear tonnes of it) -I chop melons n pineapple into tubs in the fridge and have some of that between lunch and dinner and as my supper ... I really prefer it and it stops me eating extra stuff "just because"
ohh and I have found that now Im doing red days and need to measure my healthy Bs -Im actually getting more per serving than I was giving myself on EE :T
Anyway -enough waffle..... At the end of the day I know that SW is working for me and Im loving it -so Im not going to alter what Im doing. Its only because I got some new yogurts that I checked on mullers
Have a great day everyone-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50
