    hey people

been doing it since feb and am stuck now.

when i started i was excited and wanting to do this. now i'm bored.

i know when i first started i'd have a youghut for breakfast fruit for snack ww bread quorn sausage and egg for lunch and something like shepards pie for dinner.

now i dont eat breakfast and just snack til dinner.

    :(

i want to get back on it but i cant be motavated yuo';d think a wedding would be enough but its not :(

    HELP!

    X

What days do you like the best? Then we can help by telling you what we have and you can pinch the suggestions!

I typically like green days the best So a typical day would look like this:
Brekkie - 1 weetabix (1/2heb) with banana & muller light (or milk if don't mind using hea)
    Snack - fruit
Lunch - usually left over pasta or curry or chilli or shepards pie etc.
Dinner - Mushy pea curry or soup or egg & chips or any from lunch! Or a quick roast (quorn lamb grills are lush & free!) with garlic roasted potatoes! mmmmmm.....
Then i usually have 4 scan bran (1/2heb) with white choc options quark (2.5syns) or ff cottage cheese and a hifi bar (heb) for the evening with a bag of buttons etc. (depending if i have been good!

What type of thing you looking for?

Have you brought the latest mag? Good recipes in there or why not buy some of the recipe books from class?

I posted yesterday saying I had my first weeks WI last night and I am very pleased to report a 3 pound loss! :j

Overall i want to lose 20lbs so 3 is a nice start for that target, that was also with a BBQ on Saturday too so I am looking forward to hopping on the scales next Monday after knuckling down this week :D

Good luck to everyone else, oh and those chilli burgers sound amazing I am going to have a go at those but need to stock up on the spices.

You could make some healthy fajita's using syns for the tortilla wraps and stuffing with salad and chicken, also make the burgers that are on the previous page, free on EE.

I am like you too, those are my favourite foods and I always start SW with so much determination then after a month I really lose it. It's always best to go to group and take or make a weightloss buddy. My friend comes with me and each day we text each other with what we are having for each meal and it does give you ideas.

Good luck at getting that motivation back, you can do it!! :T

i go with a friend but she makes it a comp and i just want someone to help me not make me want to compete. ( i am a person who is really competive but i cant do that with her it just makes me depressed. )

just had a mug shot for lunch and going to have a muller youghut for my snack :)

although i had one for dinner last night and it didn't taste the same hmmm strange.

for dinner tonight i am going to do rice ( uncle bens long grain and wild rice) as its only a syn on ee with salad and sweet chilli chicken kebabs which are only 1 syn per two and are in the co op bbq range at the moment.

edit - just got nattering to my friend you are star luara!

    thank you x

Sorry Nessie -I should have put "extra" in front of the mince steak...luckily I can get that...so Im safe :D

Ok I can't find where I typed up the coq au vin recipe so I will do it again (will be quicker thn keep looking):p

    coq au vin
    serves 4
    EE + Original 1.5syns
    green 15 syns
    • low cal cooking spray -I don't use it
    • 12 lean bacon rashers-cut into bite size pieces -I use 1 per portion, smoked is yummy
    • 12 baby onions, peeled and left whole
    • 4 cloves garlic -crushed
    • 400g mushrooms -I use frozen ones, defrosted and squeezed out
    • 2 sticks celery -cut into 3/4" pieces
    • 2 carrots -peeled and cut into 3/4" dice
    • 1 sprig thyme -I used 1tsp dried
    • 1 bay leaf
    • 180ml red wine (burgundy/bordeaux)
    • 800ml chicken stock
    • 2tbs balsamic vinegar
    • 12 skinless chicken thighs or drumsticks -I use 4 breasts
    • seasoning
    1. place a heavy based flameproof casserole dish over a medium heat
    2. spray with oil (if using) add the bacon and onions -stirfry until just browned
    3. add garlic, mushrooms, celery and carrots
    4. turn up teh heat to high add the thyme, bay leaf, red wine, stock and vinegar
    5. add the chicken and bring the mixture to the boil, then lower the temp and simmer gently for about 25 mins until chicken is tender and cooked through
    6. for a thicker sauce, remove the chicken and keep warm. Cook the sauce over high to reduce -return chicken to the pan and heat.
Now I do mine a wee bit different ... I make the sauce and reduce it down quite a bit and then ad the chicken so it doesn't get over cooked;)
The sauce is stunning on its own and would make a lovely sauce for pasta or over steaks etc....

    * now I don't know if the LIDL in the uk sell the same wines as the one out here -but just in case...we have a great wine for the dish...
It is Spanish the lable says Vino Tinto 2009 Lieblich and it has 2 little gold bulls heads on it.... now we only pay €1.39 and it is lovely -so it might be worth seeing if they have it....
right after all that waffle I will get off...have a great afternoon all

Could someone with online access be so kind as to tell me the syns of Marks and Spencer's The Grill Lime and Coriander Chicken? I've only just started eating Chicken again after 12 years of vegetarianism, I only trust marksies chicken at the moment, and I kind of eat it like I've got OCD, :rotfl: i've only started eating it to see if it makes any difference to my immune system and tiredness, but I really quite like this lime and coriander one, really nice little strips.

I can only see this results for lime and coriander chicken strips. If you have the one I'm thinking of its really yum:)

Hi all, pls may I join the group?

My husband and I joined SW today, determined to get fit before our 40th birthdays next year, have several stone to lose between us!

Trying to get my head around the diet, today is extra easy, (starting from lunch as I skipped breakfast - late for school run!), this is how far I have got so far:

Lunch: pasta, fat free dressing, red onion, baby plum toms, cucumber, chicken

Dinner: steak, noodles, onion, chillies, mushrooms (satay sauce 4.5 syns)
    Yogurt and fruit

    HE1 = Milk
    HE2 =

Think I need to read this thread thoroughly for tips and read the handbooks again, looking forward to getting to know you all, donna
  • Hi

I started posting to this group a few weeks ago, and did really well for the first 2 weeks.......then I don't really know what happened but I fell off the dieting wagon!

I've really struggled since to get back on track, I weighed myself this morning and in 2 weeks have regained the 4lb I had lost in the previous 2 weeks :(

So i'm feeling very annoyed with myself and wondering why I find it so hard to do this when other people seem to be so focused

I'm going to try to make a fresh start tomorrow..........actually i'm not going to try I am going to! Be positive!

So from tomorrow I will post my food diary, and will pop on here regularly as I know I'll get the support I need :)
