Susan - are you going to have anything inbetween those meals? It doesn't seem like much and maybe that's why you feel like you are denying yourself? I must admit since I started this plan I've never felt like I'm missing out on anything. My OH says the same as you though he feels like he is hungry all the time but I struggle to get him to eat any syns or HE's - he goes to the extreme.

4.5lbs in 2 weeks is a very good loss I think :) Don't be so hard on yourself. Will be doing wobbly starjumps for you on the sidelines anyway :D:D (Now there's an image eh??)

4.5lbs loss in 2 weeks is really good. you should only aim to lose 1 or 2 pounds per week, that is considered to be a healthy weight loss and its also more likely to stay off that way.

Here's my menu for today, I'm doing EE:

Breakfast - porridge and banana (HEA&B)
Lunch - salad, giant cous cous, salmon, crayfish tails, boiled egg, salad cream (2)
Tea - stewed beef in gravy (2), mash, veg and a small dumpling (need to calculate syns!)

    Snacks - apple, satsumas, nectarines

    WI tomorrow......can't wait!

whoop, i didnt realise there were any other kind of star jumps except wobbly ones?:j

i may snack on the fruit bowl, but i find it all boring, and nothing beats a mars bar dipped in my cup o tea.......

i don't think its unreasonable to want to eat chocolate and chips and STILL lose weight? ;)

sorry if im talking out of turn - but following on from the ''free food'' discussion - jellyspots isnt 3 mullerlights a little excessive ?

again apologies if im posting out of turn but free food still has calories :)

Daisy, i just read that post and that was my reaction! a ML averages at about 90 calories so thats 270 calories for three.

Now if you were a person who would eat your three meals a day plus crisps, cakes, biscuits chocolate and full sugar fizzy drinks (me before SW!) swapping those for 3 ML would result in the consumption of less calories so at first you would lose the weight. Especially if you have a lot to lose (like me - i started off with 8-9 stone to shift as a result of too much junk food). But after a while when your body gets used to them the weight loss would slow or stop.

I admit i ate lots of yogurt at first but now my stomach has shrunk 1 ML is enough to fill me up :)

On the SW/calorie debate - i think you have to use common sense and ensuring the meals you eat are Balanced!

The bigger you are the more you will eat hense why people who weigh 20 stone plus lose a fair amount of weight with SW due to the freedoms and the fact that you dont ever need to go hungry

In terms of the fruit - if you eat several bananas and punnets of fruit each day you wont lose weight due to the sugar consumption. But my mantra is that as long as i eat at least my 5 a day every day plus a few more veggies for good measure all will be ok!
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

*happy skippy dance* 3lb loss today, slimmer of the week and... my 2 stone award! Chuffed to bits, especially considering I've only been a member for 16 weeks and have spent the vast majority of the last week 'sampling' cupcakes :D

I've been having a long hard think about targets the past couple of days - when I joined SW I wasn't asked what my target was, which was good really considering I didn't have one other than to lose weight. I've now decided though I'd like to be 10st 9lb, which takes me a pound or so into the BMI 'healthy' range for my height. No idea if I'll get there, to be honest I can't even remember being that weight before (I must have been at school!) but it's nice to have something to aim for. I've also decided that I'd like to reach target by July next year, so as long as I keep losing about 4lb a month that should be achievable. I picked that month because it's roughly a year before myself & my OH plan to get married (not engaged yet, but it's happening sometime this year *happy skippy dance again*) and I would love not to have the added stress of losing weight on top of all the organising - maintaining will be hard enough.

So onwards and downwards, 37.5lb to go!

PS. Thank you all for the lovely comments about my cupcakes by the way, I'm actually considering setting up a small business doing it now. Should be a good test for my willpower...

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
about targets: when one reaches target, as I understand it, the class is free provided you stay within 3 lb one way or the other? I've noticed our cons. asks "do you want to change your target?" when you are nearly there, so you say "Oh yes, take another stone off" (for instance) and then of course you keep paying without a break. I plan to stop at my next target for a few weeks of free class, then re-set it. Is that mean?
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!
