I guess I won't be having a naan then eh? That is a crazy number of syns isn't it?
Lamb Rogan Josh with boiled rice and a chapatti sounds good. Just need to keep my hands off the poppodums now
trixietoes wrote: »LOL, I know... 20 syns!!! ridiculous. Good luck with the poppadoms.... lethal aren't they!
Poppadoms are more than lethal!!! I tell myself i'm only going to have 2 (8syns) and not have any bread.... I usually get carried away and have the unwanted poppadoms in addition to my 2, mainly because i cannot resist them!
Today's food - EE (as going harvester later)
B - 28g fruit and fibre (heb) with milk (hea)
L - been really busy so has been a bit.. picky. Had bag of tikka fridge raiders (1.5syns) followed by melon, fresh cherries and raspberry and cranberry ML yog.
D - Harvester (nan's birthday) Really don't know what to have! Last time i had their jacket potatoes it looked like it had been deep fried so left it. Some dishes come with new pots but they are buttered!!! Aaaaargh! All hail to the sale!!!!!!
new beginnings...... new successes..0 -
Re the pickled onion soup, you really can't taste the beans at all. It really is a strong tomato flavour with a slight tang from the pickling vinegar. I'm not a big tomato soup lover but this is really nice. I'm having more today and adding pasta [hm mugshot]. I used passata instead of chopped toms but end result was the same.
The recipe I used made enough for 2 possible 3 portions so if u really don't like it theres not much waste and u could always use it as a sauce for spag bol or lasagne as well. HTHSIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Consultant - Glad to hear you had a lovely break.:D Am very jealous - have always wanted to go to Vancouver to see the Killer whales. Thanks for posting the Superspeed Soup - sounds very yummy and just the thing to help jumpstart the Plan a bit for me to lose those extra few pounds for my wedding in just over 3 weeks!
Kitty - what a wonderful idea of using the pickled onion soup as a base for a bolognese. I had some leftover when I cooked it and unfortunately there was no room in our freezer to freeze it; never thought of using the leftover soup as the basis of dinner. Thanks!
Well done to all those who lost this week and well done to those who are struggling with the Plan for trying.:T
I lost 0.5 pound at weigh in last night. Was really disappointed :(as I've stuck to the Plan and eaten more or less what I eat last week when I lost 2 pounds. My consultant said that as long as I was averaging 1-2 pound a week then that is a good weight loss; which made me feel better.:)0 -

Please could you tell me where you found the syns value for Belvita? I can't find it on the site.0 -

I took it from this thread here on minimins. The one I had was milk & cereal, but the fruit and fibre ones are 2.5 syns each.:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -

Splitting HEs is only a good idea if you can split them exactly. It would be awkward trying to split 350mls milk and 3 Babybels - guessing can be risky especially if you're near your target.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
MRSMCAWBER wrote: »oohhh Consultant31, a question -if I was to go on red days -how many syns are frozen sweetcorn and peas ? only I can find tinned but not frozen in the book and on the SW site
..just pondering going onto red days -and I wouldn't want to use Healthy Bs for peas/corn ..thanks in advance
Peas are 1 syn per 28gms and sweetcorn is 1½ syns per 28gms. Hope that helps

Thanks, it was fantastic. We went out on an evening whale watch and the pods of whales were all round us. It was amazing - would make a wonderful honeymoon destination????
Your Consultant is right - a 1 to 2 lb weekly loss is perfect and avoids you losing lean muscle tissue (which causes problems). Try seeing your loss over a month instead of weekly - it gives a good picture of how well you're doing.
All the best with the wedding :jI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
