I may have missed this, and although I know vaguely what they're about as a 'newbie' to Slimming World I'm not entirely sure, so could somebody please explain red & green days to me? If it fits in with how I like to eat I may give them a go; EE is working for me at the moment but I wouldn't mind losing a few pounds extra and as it's all that's ever been taught in class that's all I know.

Finding it hard today, I mentioned earlier that I have days where I'm starving all day and today is one of them (maybe I jinxed myself?) I'd say it was all in my head if it wasn't for the fact I can hear my tummy growling at me! Only 2 hours 10 minutes until tea time...

In other news, I don't think this has been mentioned yet but Sainsburys are doing BOGOF on 6 packs of Muller Lights until 08/06/10. Considering they're giving away Sex & the City 2 movie tickets inside I'm going to end up taking all my friends for free at this rate!

Sainsburys are also doing buy one get one free on Quorn Sausages!:D

Hi folks, just to say that I have discovered warburton's wholegrain snacks. The sweet chilli ones are 4 sins and REALLY yummy..... so my evening munchies tonight are:

1 bag W's w'g snacks (4) 1 small glass wine (6) bowl of quark mixed with some grated cheddar as a dip (HE) and some cottage cheese with fresh pineapple (on special offer at Aldi).

Actually I probably won't eat that lot, but just knowing they are there if I fancy a nibble means I'm less likely to go off the rails and just grab a sandwich!

A question about HE's - I've had a red day today but have only had a small amount of my milk allowance (a) and no b's at all. Is it best to have the full 2 HE's on both a and b, or is it okay to just have one of each?

    Thanks

Lazydaisy, according to the book it says on a red day you must choose one or two "a" and two "b" healthy extras. If you've only had a small amount of milk you won't be getting enough calcium (unless you've noshed a yoghurt or two as well). If you aren't hungry enough for cereal or bread for your B you could have some dried, canned or cooked fruit (long list, don't ask me to type it out!) - got any dried apricots in, or suchlike?

just realised, your quark dip tonight will have calcium in surely, even tho it's free?
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

    Thanks for that, Blackberry Rum.

Yes I've had yogurt today and also some cottage cheese, but I'll have another look at the HE's and make sure I'm getting enough.

I must say I don;t really understand why it is only one of each on EE, but 2 on red/green days? (sorry original :o)

Edit - is stewed rhubarb a HE? I looked but could only find it in the syns.

    Today has been green

B - 28g Raisin Wheats (half of heb1) with milk (hea) 28g sultanas (4) Cup of tea with milk (hea)

L - Cheese (hea2) Salad (lettuce, toms, cucumber) 2.5 tbsp of hellman's extra light mayo (1.5)

S - 1 ryvita sesame (rest of heb1) 2x Alpen Light bars, Activia FF yog, banana

D - Sweet n Sour Quorn fillets with rice and stir fry veg (beanshoots, cabbage, carrot, red pepper)

Made a boo boo with the sauce!! Which ended up 8 syns!!!! I could have had a takeaway!!!! Gutted! I didn't realise my can of pineapple chunks was 6syns!!! (as it was 227g!) Plus the recipe was to serve 4 - there was noooooooooooooooooo way there was enough to serve 4!!! There was just enough to serve me!

Syns today 13.5 (all wasted!!!! But at least they are different to my usual syns so hopefully not be too damaging!!)

Thats a great question KathF! I often wonder the same! I HATE Scan Bran and would love to know if there is an alternative! :)

EDIT - My hatred for scan bran is the reason why i only have Jordan's Museli - as you have 1 w/g crackerbread with it - now those i love!! :):)

    Hi everyone,

Marion - I'm sorry you feel fed up with the plan. You have been following slimming world for quite a while now so I can imagine its difficult, having said that, you've done so well all along. Its a real achievement.:T Good luck on whatever you decide to do.

Well done on your loss yamama and SOTW too - happy days!

Vixie - dont worry about the syns today. Just put it down to experience.

Just back from my first weigh in and I've lost 4lbs. I'm well chuffed with that as I had the worst weekend and it was almost tuesday before I got into the plan properly.

Aliscrapper - I'm sorry about your gain but well done on taking such positive steps to change classes. Its sad how the person who you're paying to support you is ignoring you.
