    Hi everyone,

Mrsiwannabefree - Welcome, I am not very good with EE either, but some on this thread do really well on it. Consultant31 has posted a really good explanation at the start of this thread if you want to have a go, and the SW mag does menus and recipes.

    Mrsmcawber - WTG!! Soooo jealous...

Mrsmortenharket - Good to hear you're still with us, very impressed with you. How are you finding maintenance? (I will join you sometime!)

    Morning all

Well done on the losses again folks :T

Its a bit of an overcast one here at the moment ..still at least its not raining :D

My EE meals for today are:-
    • 250ml semi skimmed (A)
    • lemon juice in warm water
    • 2 weetabix (B)
    • 125ml semi skimmed (3 sysn)
    • big salad
    • seafood sticks
    • beetroot
    • gherkin
    • apple
    • SW stifado (1.5syn)
    • mashed potato with quark, roasted garlic and spring onions
    • steamed carrots and broccoli
    • fruit
The stifado is bubbling away on the stove as I type -and smells gorgeous, hope its as nice as my mums :p....
I have got 4.5syns planned for today -but could do with using a few more so I may splash out and have an 8syn yogurt this evening if I need one..

Im hoping that the SW cookbook missing from my order might arrive at hubbies work today ....pinkies crossed...Im really enjoying trying new recipes, I seem to be really looking forward to meal times where as before SW it was just another meal:o
Right time to get off and get some more done on the wii...i did 20 mins of step on there earlier...
Have a great day everyone and keep at it... we are getting there ;)

Zippy, I was trying to watch Boy George on tv while this "conversation" was going on, I wasn't sure if what I'd written was clear that's why I said it again :) I think misuse is a different thing to eating free foods as food; misuse is turning something free into something else entirely, like a CAKE! especially if it is then gobbled up on the basis of being "free". I still frankly don't understand the chickpea thing, but then it sounds a lot of effort to roast chickpeas so I didn't honestly take much notice of the talk about it. Off to bed now, work in another 8 hours :(

Wasn't the Boy George programme amazing!:)

    Morning all:j

Just popping in to report a weight loss of 1 3/4 lb this week (my scales are very precise:rotfl:) - have been trying much harder this week & now writing things down which definitely helps. Also, making a big effort to drink more water, sure that does make a difference.

Feel quite smug as went out for our weekly meal yesterday (food provided free). No choice & you can't help yourself either, so can be quite tricky. Main was OK -ish, pork steak, roasted veg & spuds, plus stewed apples? - not apple sauce as that was there too - but I refused the pud, not once, but twice as they kept coming round with them. Ah, did have the one fresh raspberry off the top of DH's though.:D
    Today's menu is:

B: the usual, rice yog 1/2 a banana

    L: Maybe left over risotto?

D: not sure yet, but could be a SW version of kedgeree as we have some l/o cooked rice, so fish, onions, hb eggs, rice, parsley & sauce will be ff based.

    Snacks: fruit

    HE milk in tea

Better go for an EE day methinks?

OH BTW does anyone have a good SW friendly recipe/idea for left over cooked chicken? We've had risotto already but am not sure what to do with the rest. In the winter it's soup but can't really think of much else????

    Hi All,

Hope you all had good weekends :)

Well done to everyone who has lost :T:T

I weighed in this morning with a gain of 1/4lb. I'm pleased with that as I haven't had a good week. I go on holiday on Sunday evening so I'm going to be good all week and weigh in Sunday morning. Then I'm going to enjoy my holiday but not go overboard. So if we're out and about I'll have an ice-cream if I want one but not just for the sake of it etc. 6 days to go yet tho :(

Hope you all have a good week :j

    Hey sasha few things:
Chicken & Sweetcorn soup (freezes well) any recipe will do, youll have to syn the cornflour if you use it, I used extra eggs when I made my crab and sweetcorn version recently!
Im going to make a chicken & mushroom lasagne this is notexactly SW Ive always made it, but used a white sauce before now Ill use quark I guess, thats
    sliced mushrooms
    chopped up LO chicken
    onions, finely chopped
any extra veg like peppers, sweetcorn, babycorn, spinach etc
fry off the veg in frylite, then add the quark and loads f black pepper and garlic if you likeand cook it down and at the end add the chicken and layer it up with your lasagne sheets and bake it off.
Grate some cheese on the top if you like, Im going to use Cottage cheese as I read on here it melts down a bit.
    Otherwise, chicken soup obviously
Chicken chopped up in salads, or added to a tagine style casserole etc.

Loads of choices, all of which lend well to SW!
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Congrats on the losses ladies, and hugs to those with gains :A

Lynz - good response. I need to read it again and take it all in if that makes sense !:p I got the smoked paprika in a bigger Tesco! Some say you can get it in Sainsbugs - there is discussion in this thread with a website link here

Leftover chicken - what about chicken fried rice? Mmmmmm! :jThis is a pretty good explanation method - just adapt it to what ingredients you want in, and throw some soy sauce in once cooked (i also like vinegar on fried rice ?) There is also a leftover chicken thread here you could look for recipes or ideas to make SW friendly?

Yesterday was an insatiable appetite day, and I did my best not to reach for the crisps! :o I think my mistake was planning a big breakfast of bacon sausa and eggs and toast but then splitting it into two meals - why did i mess with things?! Left me on catch up hunger all day!

Fruit -2 banana, two small oranges, 2 pears

B One round toast Half HEB, one bacon, one quorn sausage and one egg and roasted chickpeas

L Two toast with one bacon and one quorn sausage and half cheese HEA

D quorn Rogan josh with spicy potatoes and baby tomatoes

Snack meal - more rogan josh, with 5 quorn dippers 2.5 and little low fat philli 2

    E Nothing

    Syns 4.5 snack a jacks, 2 butter, 5 x quorn goujons= 2.5 , low fat philly 2 =11

Today I am making a roast chicken dinner for my brother and a friend, and trying to work out what kind of day to have. Will prob make them goose fast roasties and myself SW wick ones :p Still.....!

Plan is to get them to make their own pudding of fairy cakes and cream - I am teaching them both to cook (they are in their 30s), and thought if they m ade Jam fairy cakes upside down warm with fresh cream - my plan is to resist, or look up in syns and see how many a HM fairy cake is..... Probably best off with yog. Or they can not have desert but that seems mean to deprive them just because of me :)
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
