Thanks for the reply mbamick.
I had ordered my phone in september 05 and terms & conditions regarding the cash back are changing constantly since then. When I bought the mobile
they did not send me any dispatch note, no terms & conditions in writing, no confirmation of my tariff. It was just the mobile phone in a packet. and their customer service refused to send me anything in writing as they said it's a web based company. Then after a lot of hassles I got a letter from mobile outlet confirming that I am on a 12 months contract on such and such tariff with 12 months free line rental via redemption at month 6 and 12 and I must refer their web site for full terms and conditions, which then required to send bills from 1 to 6 within 21 days of the 6th bill date and 7-12 within the 21 days of the 12th bill. I keep reminders in my PC calander for these things so that I dont forget to send them. I did exactly the same as per my T&C and now they refused my claim saying that I need to send them my terms and conditions. I found a hard copy of cash back claim in my paper work but it was printed from their web site so not sure if it is valid or not.
Did they send cash back to you directly after you took the legal action? and how long did it take after you applied on moneyclaimonline. You mentioned that you got the 12 month cashback for your OH. When did she order her phone and what were the terms & conditions then. Did you send 11th & 12th bill seperately? What do I need to have in evidence if I want to use moneyclaimonline service. I have print out of their original advert as well.0 -
Quick question I am new to this forum so,please forgive me if I sound stupid.
What does pm mean you said pm me with ur email address?0 -
pm stands for private message. You can send a private message to someone several ways, probably the easiest way is to click on the person's username beside one of their posts. You then get a link which says something like
"Send this person a private message"
the rest of the process should be self-explanatory.
To check your pm's, click on quick links (near top right of webpage) and go to "private messages".
don't worry, we were all new to this web lark once!0 -

I lodged my claim on the Friday, and received a cheque by Special Delivery on the following Wednesday.
I paid the cheque into the bank, ensured that it didn't bounce, then emailed moneyclaimsonline, inviting them to cancel the claim.
Got a response back within 24 hours, saying that all had been tidied away.
Then contacted Mobile Outlet, inviting them to confirm that, since we had resolved our misunderstanding on the 6-month cashback, my 12-month cashback entitlement had not been forfitted. They confirmed this was the case.bobagr wrote:You mentioned that you got the 12 month cashback for your OH. When did she order her phone and what were the terms & conditions then.
6-month cashback required original Months 1-6 bills to be forwarded to MO, within 21 days of date shown on Month 6 bill;
12-month cashback required original Month 11 bill to be forwarded to MO, within 21 days of date shown on Month 11 bill; then original Month 12 bill to be forwarded to MO, within 21 days of date shown on Month 12 bill. Cashback payment was then due within 28 days of MO receiving the Month 12 bill.bobagr wrote:Did you send 11th & 12th bill seperately?
You have to, otherwise your Month 11 bill won't arrive within 21 days of the date shown on that bill. This is how they hope to catch people out, I think.bobagr wrote:What do I need to have in evidence if I want to use moneyclaimonline service.
Sorry about the "pm" bit, mate; I should have engaged brain. Hopefully, last-emperor's post explains how to get in touch with me outside of the forums. I'd be happy to help further. In fact I can email a scanned copy of both mine and my OH Terms & Conditions, if you feel that would help.0 -
bobagr wrote:Hi jadejie,
I am also having trouble with getting cashback from mobile outlet. I got 12 months free line rental, as per the T&C the cash back was due at month 6 and 12. I got 6 months line rental cash back without much hassle but they are refusing to give other half of the line rental.
Unfortunatley my PC broke down and I lost the local copy of their T&C.
I went to their web site and terms & conditions have changed since then. Could you please help me and let me know what were your T&C for 12 months line rental cash back. And by any chance do you happen to have their T&C.
Thanks in advance.
Looking forward to hear from you.
hey there, sorry to responds so late,as I haven't been here all the time, next time, please pm me....
Anyway, I do have copy of t&c, but it's the same one as send 1-6month bill and 11th,then 12 th....and it's only a website printout,i'm sure it's fine, as they say they are a web based company, then i'm sure website t&C should count.
Anyway,if you are sure you are fully with the t&c, then write to them, and give them 7 days to responds and also threat court action, these companies are all cowards,as soon as you threat them, they'll responds ASAP,otherwise, they seemed neve exsit...anyway,good luck.0 -
Well, this is encouraging. Thanks to blue_monkey and all others in the thread. I have spent hours searching about Tulip UK and wondering how to get them to pay me my final cash-back. This is the first positive info that i have found so many thanks all.
My 12-mth contract with Tulip & service provided by 3G ended last summer. I got my first cashback after a bit of a delay. For my second cb i had to resort to a strong letter complaining to 3G's director of customer service, after which i received a cheque from Tulip. I submitted my claim for the third (final) cb in Sept.06 and all i have had from Tulip since, despite many chaser letters, is stalling. I have just written to them informing them that i will talk legal action to recover the money due if i do not receive it within ten days. I also complained again in writing again 3G.
I would certainly not recommend Tulip to anyone. Searches on the web reveal that the people that run Tulip UK have been implicated in a huge fraud of $300 million at RBG Resources by the British High Court in April 2004 (Mr Justice Hart). RGB was a London-based international metals trading firm and seems to have gone into liquidation – see Grant Thornton, liquidators. Another good article is in //money.guardian.co.uk/scamandfraud/story/0,13802,1269207,00.html by Simon Bowers July 26, 2004.0
