it depends on their terms and conditions. Soem dealers insist you send originals only otherwise you wont get your cash back.0 -

cheers
I think its paid to the court by the company and then the court pay a cheque to you.0 -
Hiya,
First off - alsonso, call them and ask where you can write to their customer services then put down in a letter the amounts you are due and have received. I would wait until the next lot is due, send them a letter and send it Special Delivery giving the same amount of days for them to pay you as it says they will pay you (If that makes sense, mine was 28 days so I gave them 28 days of date of letter and then checked on RM website that it has arrived) Tell them you want xx paid as promised b said date or you will have no alternative but to seek other action in reclaiming your cashback. That should do the trick, if not, keep to your word and they will pay you next time I am sure!!
Other:
When you submit your claim online about 2 days later you get a letter from the court saying who you have taken to court - the person you are claiming against will get theirs the same day and I would have thought they would act on it ASAP. Then they have to make an agreement to pay you which they should do direct to you and they have 4 weeks to do so. No other paperwork is involved unless they want to proceed through the court, which as long as you have kept to sending the documents in on time and have evidence of this (special delivery slips), then you have nothing to worry about anyway. All you will need is Proof of postage of the bills, the copies of the bills, bank statements to show you have paid and the copy of the letter you got promising you XX amount of cashback. Tulip sent me the money, I had to send a letter to the court to tell them they have paid me and that the case was closed now, but I did not do it until all the cheques had cleared as Tulip had mentioned financial trouble. I got the cheques from them direct. I would have throught either way the money would have to come from them even if it did get to court. The also have to pay your £30 court fee as well but to be honest, I would have thought that most mobile phone companies would not even fight it - would it be worth the trouble. Good luck.0 -

I just wanted to add briefly. No, the company has to make an agreement via you and send the money to you. You then sign a form and send back to the court to say the debt has been paid and the case is closed.
The only reason the court gets involved is if they dispute the claim and it goes all the way, but read my post above and as long as you have all of the required paperwork you'll be fine. proof you have paid the amount stated on the bill and on time - how else can they dispute this in court?? I hope this helps.0 -

Keep copies of everything you send in if you have to send originals. Should it EVER get so far as court, they will want to see you have paid on time and in full and that your side of the 'contract' has been adhered to. This is why it is important to send all documents Special Delivery - if the RM screw up and lose them, claim your cashback from them instead as you need those documents to claim the cashback!! Hope that made sense!!0 -
Thanks for this. I've never had any probs wiv my cashbacks, from the carphonewarehouse. But it always worth noting one never knows

This is not rocket science, the first cashback company who provides a good service at a reasonable price will make an absolute killing.
There is hardly a good word to be said on these forums about cashback companies.
Provide a good product, good admin, reasonable price and the world is their lobster.
I was going cashback but quite frankly I was put off by all the negative reports, now if I knew one company that didn't mess it's customers about.....0 -
Weekender your comments would make sense in normal circumstances but I fail to see what is in it for these companies in the first place giving something free. I can only see that they expect a percentage of people are either not going to claim their cashback or will fail because of loopholes. So its a matter of playing the system.
If anyone can tell me what the companies gain giving free phones and calls I would love to know.0 -

They actually give me the money back without going through court,
anyway,good luck to those who hasn't got it back yet. Threaten them a bit, they'll do something. that's what i did....anyway,good luck.
Hi jadejie,
I am also having trouble with getting cashback from mobile outlet. I got 12 months free line rental, as per the T&C the cash back was due at month 6 and 12. I got 6 months line rental cash back without much hassle but they are refusing to give other half of the line rental.
Unfortunatley my PC broke down and I lost the local copy of their T&C.
I went to their web site and terms & conditions have changed since then. Could you please help me and let me know what were your T&C for 12 months line rental cash back. And by any chance do you happen to have their T&C.
Thanks in advance.
Looking forward to hear from you.0 -

Sorry to barge in Bobagr, but I've just had 2 successful 6-monthly cashback claims with Mobile Outlet - both of which were initially rejected, and needed a little prompting via the moneyclaimsonline web service.
One thing I have noticed is that the T&Cs on the back of my dispatch note were different to those on the reverse of their rejection letter; and both were different to those on their website. A saint would consider that to be poor admin; a cynic like me suspects something more sinsister is afoot.
Anyway enough of that. My 12-month cash criteria requires the following to occur:
1. On receipt of my Month 11 bill, I must dispatch that bill, to reach the Shipley office within 21 days of the date on that bill;
2. On receipt of my Month 12 bill, I must dispatch that bill, to reach the Shipley office within 21 days of the date on the bill;
3. The Mobile Outlet will issue a cashback cheque within 28 days, from receipt of the Month 12 bill.
Do not, do not, do not wait for the Month 12 bill, and send Months 11 & 12 together. Your claim will be rejected because your Month 11 bill will arrive after 21 dates of the date shown on the bill. Also, take photocopies & send everything "Signed For" or "Special Delivery", simply to maintain a complete audit trail for yourself.
I'm pretty certain that this is the correct process, because my OH has just received her 12-month cheque, and this is the process that I followed for her claim [she doesn't do "admin"..!!].
That said, I have taken the liberty of emailing The Mobile Outlet, with what I believe to be the correct procedure for my 12-month claim - simply so that I have something to go into bat with, if / when I have problems in Month 12.
I have scanned a copy of my original T&Cs [my order was placed in early Feb '06]. I'd be happy to email you a copy - just pm me with your email address.
