look on ther website "you'll get internet on your phone Plus included if you join us on a pay monthly plan with an Android phone in a T-Mobile store, over the phone or via our website, t-mobile.co.uk"
Interesting. I'd fancy you could still argue for a different flexible booster given the wording elsewhere and 1GB if not 3GB W+W Plus.0 -

Has anyone spoken to T-Mobile since this change (who got it from a different shop)?
I got mine from mobiles.co.uk so what would be the best way of going about getting 3gb?0 -

I bought my Desire from Mobiles.co.uk on Thursday, picked it up from the sorting office on Saturday after the Royal Fail postman handed me a 'sorry you were out' card on Friday because he didn't have the parcel in the bag. I only selected them because the only other option was DHL and they're almost as bad, but their local depot is miles away from me and I had aleady guessed I would be picking it up.
I phoned up T-Mobile on Monday with my PAC and said I think I should be on the 3GB plan, put on hold for a couple of minutes and told no problem and that I could also choose another flexible booster for free, so now I have unlimited landline calls as well. :T
I paid £79.99 for the handset (should be £29.99 if it eventually tracks on TopCashBack) and am on a £20 24 month contract with T-Mobile, 300 minutes, 300 texts, unlimited internet (throttled between 4pm and 10pm if I use more than 3GB) and now unlimited landline calls, plus I can enjoy the Blockbuster 5 things for £5 deal every week. Try beating that with an iPhone.
So far it's all been plain sailing, but I'm sure their customer service can be just as bad as all the others.
I would just keep trying, from what I've read some seem to have no problems and others have to try a few times, but you should eventually get somebody to swap you on to the 3GB plan. For some reason when you go through the options PAC transfer is lumped in with cancellations and retentions, maybe because I spoke to somebody in cancellations and retentions they are the better trained staff.I've given up trying to get my signature to work with the new rules, if nobody knows what the rules are what hope do we have?0 -
getting the 3gb net will be hard now t mobile changed there t&c
Did they change them yesterday? I bought my phone from Mobiles.co.uk last week and managed to get put on the 3GB internet yesterday morning, looks like I might be one of the lucky last few to get the 3GB on a non T-Mobile deal.
Just got to hope my number transfer goes smoothly tomorrow and I can then say this was the easiest phone switch I've ever done, although I've probably jinxed it now.I've given up trying to get my signature to work with the new rules, if nobody knows what the rules are what hope do we have?0 -
Ordered from mobilephonesdirect yesterday. Went for the t-mobile 18 month, free phone, £25 per month, 300 mins + unltd txts.
I rang them today and got the unlimited texts changed to unlimited internet, so now i will have 300 mins, 300 txts and 1gb internet. I will argue about the 3gb with t-mobile when the phone turns up.
Today they said they will get the phones on the 6th so i will get it next week.
This was better than what vodafone would give me after i had already got my pac.0 -

I ordered through MPD as well on the 15th of July (they ran out of stock on the 12th) and am still waiting for my phone to be delivered, though they did tell me just over a week ago that they were getting stock on the 6th and my order will be processed with that batch. I guess whether your order is processed will depending on how many people are already in the queue and of course how many phones they get in stock.0 -
Hi...
I phoned Vodafone this morning but got cut off.
Phoned back an hour later and spoke to upgrades.
She said they have a new computer system that became live today, and the deal I wanted she couldn't do but then said her manger would phone back.
I didn't hold my breath.
But, miracles of miracles, I did get a call from her manger 20 minutes later and got almost all of what I wanted.
Free HTC Desire, 250 mins & Stop the Clock, 100 texts, and 500 MB internet @ £25 a month over 18 months inc free delivery.
I wanted 1GB but she couldn't authorise that. I could of requested my PAC and chanced my arm further down the line but basically, 'cos the handsets are in stock, I agreed to the deal.
Also wangled a free car charger.
Now that t-mobile have changed there T&C's regarding mobile internet I thought life would be easier sticking with Vodafone.

UPDATE...
Phones arrived mid morning - very impressive piece of kit - came with a 4GB memory card pre-installed.
There is a learning curve switching from Windows mobile to Android, but it's very intuitive.

Cheers mate, just rang up had some slight success as I'm not on 3gb and my internet speeds have gone up to around 1mbit (they were throttled to half of that before).
Although I asked about changing my booster as internet should be included regardless and was told I couldn't. Might try again soon.
Edit: Rang for a third time and quoted this page - t-mobile.co.uk/services/boosters/ where it says "If your phone needs an 'always-on' internet connection, internet will be included in your price plan, so you can choose a different Flexible Booster. This will be highlighted on the phone overview page.". To which the guy at customer services noticed I had unlimited internet as part of my bill (web and walk I think he said) and an unlimited internet booster.
So I changed the booster to unlimited texts, happy days.0 -
