I ordered one from BuyMobilePhones.net yesterday. The deal I got was:

    300 Cross-network minutes
    300 Cross-network texts
Unlimited Data (FUP 1GB p/m but I've heard that Android Phones get a 3GB FUP from T-Mobile so I'll ring them when I get the phone)
    £20 Line Rental
£29.99 Up-front cost for HTC Desire

Still waiting to hear if I've passed the credit check though. Does anyone know how long this usually takes?

    Hi...

    Is that a 24 or 18 month contract ?

    TIA,

    M.

    Thanks for the reply :)
This is the first time I've applied for mobile contract, so would that mean that it would take a little longer to be accepted? I ordered around 17:10 last night.

Possibly. Things like mobile contracts affect your credit rating - usually improving it generally.

I took the panther 35 contract with Orange.

600 min, unlim text and internet, 50 mms and free sat nav.

Works out to £28 a month with he quidco cashback of £50.

Unfortunately, the GPS is not working on the handset and I've had days of going mad trying to get it to work. Now the phone is out of stock and has been for a few days so I am waiting to get a replacement.

Check your GPS gets a lock when you get the phone!

    Hi...

I think Orange are having probs with GPS & 3G at the moment, so I'm guessing your phone isn't faulty.

GPS should be nothing to do with the network.

Mine usually locks on in under 5 seconds when outside. However, today it took more like 3 mins. Not sure why.

Trying it just now, it locked on in a few seconds while indoors.

Hey, I am going through this with buymobilephones, as I am taking out an 18mth contract for £25 with free desire with the same mins and that and it is my 1st time applying for credit check as well. I had a e-mail back saying due to no stock for about 10 - 15 working days, they are holding off on my credit check till they get stock in, so I bet you will have the same.

So a wait ensures to see. Hope this helps.

Thanks for attempting to help, however as the person says below you, GPS is not directly related to network provider. I have also spoken to HTC who have said as long as I have a working internet connection with the phone it should lock immediately.

Orange Maps and the fact it asks me to register everytime I try to use it, is another matter.

I don't mind waiting a little while but I hope it's before the end of the month. They've taken £29.99 from my bank so hopefully that's a good sign! :D
