I *may*'ve fallen a little bit in love with a Focus CMAX - Diesel Automatic - today. It's like a cross between a Focus family car, and an MPV - higher ride height and automatic,
They are fantastic cars. I used to love my Focus until I changed it for a Fiesta, because there's only ever me in it, but now I do lots of motorway driving, the CMAX looks fantastic.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Cheers, I'm hoping it works out...
I *may*'ve fallen a little bit in love with a Focus CMAX - Diesel Automatic - today.Only problem is that the house sale still hasn't gone through yet (mortgage processing is stuck in a Halifax backlog) and they're relatively rare, so I'm worried we're gonna miss out on the chance of a local one iyswim. There's only one within 40miles atm...
Ouch to mortgage processing backlog:eek:gilligansyle wrote: »They are fantastic cars. I used to love my Focus until I changed it for a Fiesta, because there's only ever me in it, but now I do lots of motorway driving, the CMAX looks fantastic.
We would have loved a focus cmax - they are a nice looking car:cool:Hope work calms down soon- there is only so long you can do manic in my experience!- so yeah people can only do manic for so long before something happens....

On the very UP side, we now have a completion date of next wednesday:T:j
I don't envy the family moving 3 days before Christmas, but very happy that we actually have a date that IS this side of Christmas!!! DH & MIL go to the solicitors tomorrow to deal with the paperwork etc... can you hear the audible sigh of relief?;)

Unfortunately I've found out that the diesel auto 1.6 has an inherent fault on the transmission - which Ford charges £5k to fix  - so it's really put me off. If there was a 1.8 version I could find I might be tempted. Or if the petrol mpg was alright.... Back to square one and don't really know what cars are out there that would suit what we need and can be bought in budget at Used.

The £100 we spent hasn't solved the problem so after xmas we may well splash out and buy the valve...Sorry to hear you missed the Xmas party and lunch. Hope you feel up to full speed soon.
Thanks Tirl - donated my lunch place to a new starter so she was chuffed. Feel a lot better today. DD has gone back to school but DS still poorly but improving.clearmydebts wrote: »Hope you feel better soon SavingH! I think that is why I am looking after myself for a change... don't want it to linger on over xmas... Hoping I might get to eat properly today.

Thanks Lucielle - getting there slowly!
Had to pick DD up from after school club practically straightaway as she burst into tears - that meant I had to get dressed in double quick time and walked 0.6 miles each way to get her! She was grateful tho. She insisted on going back to school but it was party day and I think she over did it. DS on the other hand at one point was trying to avoid taking tablets as he didn't want to return to school yet! LOL!
I think I will work from home tomorrow... they are being very understanding at work which is refreshing!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
