hi jellie - I have a cherry tree - but the birds get them they are too bitter - probably cooking cherries but by the time I get round to them the birds have nicked the lot! Have a couple of apple trees but they haven't done well this year. My plum tree tho is bursting with fruit! Snacked on them all day today! I also have raspberries, blackcurrants and recurrants and the occasional strawberry plant... Can you tell I like fruit?

I just bought them from Asda or B&Q if you only have a small space how about a self pollinating espallier apple tree about £30 but should get really good crop!

Agreed (providing you ignore the trolls )
I ended up having folk I "met" on an MSE support thread invited/come to my wedding :)
#thanks gill - my ds will make bread rolls, cakes, biscuits, jellie, custard, macaroni milk as well as savoury meals which I think at 12 - mostly taught by me or from a school recipe book I think is pretty good!
It is good! He really helped me out when he came to [STRIKE]slave for[/STRIKE] visit me, and even offered (out of the blue) to make macaroni milk or something for us :A He's a sweetheart :heartsmil Then again, as he's my DN, I'm biased...

Gym's looking good so far SH. I was the same as (whoever it was that said it...Milann I think?) about the TADA lists... racking my brains for suitable acronym-ness :o

hi BZ nice to see you back! I love it on the tada list thing - nice to keep everyone guessing!

hi DC I didn't know that about plums either but given how many I have eaten in the last couple of days I thought I would try and find out more!

Lovely surprise today - someone had sent me a little gift. I've ordered The Secret so I can learn how to manifest the law of attraction more in my life... Sounds like it is working already tho!

Well done on the debt busting progress. Thanks for reminding me about the self pollinators- I doubt I'd get round to pollinating then otherwise! Apples would be a good place to start but sounds like plums could be good too. Must read up some more!
I'm tempted to find a copy of The Secret too!

Hi Tirl and Jellie...There is/was a group called the nonny mice :Athat are an offshoot from here who help out some of the most desperate or those in need of encouragement... - I did think about getting involved but decided that was part of my denial process :o of how serious our own debt is... I could possibly find you a name if you wanted to get involved...

Had a really good day right up until 2 hours ago when OH told me his motorbike had broken down.... My heart just sank!!!:( It is of course that time of the month when I feel things most keenly so I could easily cry... Luckily we have rac cover through our bank account and they are going to pick him up and bring him home:cool:.

He has also broken down only about 2 miles or so away so I took him some of Sunday's home made soup and some coffee and DD's chocolate rice cakes... He thought he would only be another 30 minutes or so but that was about an hour ago!!!:(

My biggest fear is how much it will cost to put right but he reckons he can fix it himself once at home - I really hope he is right but it is getting dark already and the later he gets home the less likely he will get it fixed for tomorrow....:( His motorbike has cost nearly £650 in the last month or so!!!:eek::eek:Just as you start to go forward if feels like we are dragged backwards again...

:APlease God let him be able to fix it himself - at no cost!!! or very low cost!!!:A

I am supposed to be going out tonight don't know if I will be able to now... :(Also npower sent our bill - part actual and part estimated and they want to put our bill up again... Feel so mad! Need OH to read the gas bit so we can tell them where to get off with the price increase!! OH wastes loads of electricity by leaving the computer and 2 screens and his light on all night but goes mad if I turn them off!!!

Struggling to find my positivitiy... I really hope I get to go out with my friend to cheer me back up! :o

Good to be able to be back! A few technical issues got in the way tho...
As for The Secret...I think you may have some serious reservations about it, esp theologically, but then again the DVD might be worse than the book? MIL was lent it a bit back, and even she was scoffing at it.;)

    Hands together now folks! :)
Hope it's something and nothing SH...:(
We've just spent £123 getting the 'crank shaft sensor' repaired - under the impression it would solve our the-car-won't-start-properly problem - only to find a few days later that the problem is back/still there/unresolved. :( Apparently they couldn't get it to do the fault! It'd been doing it pretty much every single time we tried to start it!
