Those netbooks do look cute tho LOL! I horrified my OH by saying I wanted a nice bright red laptop like the dell one.... he is in IT and doesn't rate Dell at all (I didn't get one) - but I was winding up saying that red is just so beautiful!!!! and no that isn't the right colour red to all the ones he picked out!!!! ROFL

Well I've just spent 30 minutes trying to find out how much my gas and electricity usage was for the year - and guess what npower couldn't tell me! They estimate bills so much!! I have decided to look into switching - even switching to a different tarriff with them could save me up to £200 and switching to EON could save up to £450! and I might get £55 cashback through quidco - or I would if they had my meter on their database and they don't!! So I need to ring them tomorrow - and I am not sure they will then pay quidco so am rather miffed!

But a saving of even £200 a year would be fab and I am not happy with how npower yoyo my bills every 6 months. I have paid £73, £110, £134 a month and they keep arbitarily resetting it every 6 months with no logic. I pay about £2 a month gas in the summer and obviously much more in the winter but they don't average it they just yoyo!!!! They have driven me insane on that for the last time so I am going to switch and hopefully I will be majorly in credit and they will give me a nice refund!!!

Thanks for the explaination of gdh's - I actually use straightners - Phillips ceramic ones but I've had them a few years now. But had never heard of gdh's.

Given the choice of lovely boyfriend or scratchies mmmmmmmm - think the scratchies could wait (oooh-eeerrrr - that sounds nearly rude!!!!)

Where has summer gone - it's been horrid since we broke up!!

hi milann - I've decided next year - that I should have May June off as that was much better weather lol! I am so looking forward to my ghds arriving!

Tomorrow after work need to collect the kids - boohoo enjoying the peace without them lol!

Hope I get the utilities sorted tomorrow tho as it sounds like it could save £200 minimum per year! My next target after that is my bank account fee - I want to clear our overdraft and then go to a non-fee paying account and get world travel insurance and rac cover separately which should still save me money

Wow saving, £5 on scratchies! Well done. I didn't get online last night either, I forgot about it. But thanks for letting me know it's now £10 when you can withdraw. Must get back into it as it's closest to free money you can get, less the time it takes you to do it.
Have half day off today as joining bf looking at flats for us two. :) We're going to go with unfurnished as thought that might be cheaper and would be nicer to have own stuff, but I think we've decided not now as we don't have that much furniture between us. However, if we get on living with each other, then we might do it next time.

Hope yup get a good deal on those utilities today. We've just swooped ours. Difficult for us to assess exactly how we are doing in the new house- think it will generally be more energy efficient in here as last place was a bungalow with an old boiler!

Rang EON today - they are looking into the problem - as the website says they have no record of a meter at our address even tho we were with them before npower. I may ring npower and see if they can change us onto a better deal in the meantime as even moving to a cheaper deal with them could save us significant amounts! They are going to call me back monday to see if they can resolve the situation!

Well picked up the kids - due to motorway problems - and stopping for food - only just got in:eek: so pretty tired and the kids are still hyper. They seem to have had a good time tho so that was good. My dad was really grumpy today tho so I think it was a good job today was going home day!;)
