Hi SH - glad the budget is workable - it's a pain when everything falls together. Hopefully it should get more managable when the new mortgage rate sets in. I think it's so important to remember to live too though - and am pleased to hear you are looking at ways to get out of the rut of just paying debts.

HI Milann - thanks for that...

For me even booking a holiday a month in advance is progress - quite often I leave it to the last minute and can end up disappointed.... As it is we will be 2 miles from my favourite beach in Anglesey and we have the joy of looking forward to it for the next month....

I feel like a weight has been lifted off me with the mortgage rate dropping, it makes things affordable again and the debt free date could be a year or so away rather than another two years away....

Back to really struggling - have decided to go to the Doctors on Friday to see if she has any solutions to offer... Have also talked to OH and asked for more help around the house...

    Hi SavingH,

Sorry to hear you are struggling. Does it come upon you all of a sudden or does it gradually start to happen? Could your cleaner do more hours for you?

    Hi CMD

I've felt rough for about 2-3 weeks but I will go from feeling absolutely fine and like everything in the garden is rosy to feeling like I am in a deep dark hole or black tunnel. Then I get bombarded with negative thoughts and feelings and blow tiny things out of proportion. Right now intellectually everything is fine and we are on the up - underneath the smiling calm facade - everything from getting out of bed in the morning onwards is a huge effort. I hoped it was just my time of the month - I struggle those weeks anyway - but it is a week or so on now and it has improved but I am still struggling.

I am so sorry to hear that. On a positive note, at least you recognise how you are feeling and are able to go to the GP sooner rather than later. You must have really good self-awareness.

Thanks CMD - I am trying to get better at recognising warning signs and acting sooner rather than later to address them. It almost feels like my hayfever tablets are disrupting my other tablets or as if I have a bad batch of tablets... I've had a better day today. I went to a friend's last night which helped and today my boss has said again how pleased she is with what I am doing... I know I am worrying unnecessarily but am struggling to stop it

Today has been a good day. I ordered a couple of novels off the internet and they arrived yesterday - and I have read them both already. Really nice. They made me feel better. OH is also being a little more helpful.

    Had quite a good day.

OH has agreed to tidy the kitchen tonight if I do the lounge ready for the cleaner coming tomorrow. Only problem is that I need to nip out for some cash to pay her with. OH has paid nursery tonight which is good too. Plus 2 amazon parcels have arrived for OH's birthday in August which were paid for by woohoo amazon vouchers.... something at least!

Hope everyone else doing okay. Still need to pay another childcare bill from last month to a different provider and query why they are trying to charge me this month when I cancelled it

Bye for now - hope you are all feeling good.

    Thanks CMD.

Today has been mostly okay - made suddenly better by MIL saying she would pay for the cottage for OHs 40th birthday!!!! That is a huge weight off - especially as OH wants a £350 scuba diving course for his birthday too... Makes that more affordable now plus his graphics card for the computer £140... might let him order that now LOL

Seeing GP first thing tomorrow be interesting to see if anything comes out of that.... OH's tests all came back clear....
