    Hi SH

Sorry you are feeling out of sorts at the mo. The day in Wales sounds lovely.

The hosepipe ban is an absolute pain - I really miss my 10 mins hosing down on a warm evening. Hope my cherry trees in pots survive. Didn't get them till last November - poor things have survived coldest winter in years and now a drought - cost me £30 and I have had ONE cherry - most expensive cherry I've ever eaten (shared it with dh LOL - a bit like sharing last Rolo - ahhhhh) But it is the 1st year and I have high hopes for next year providing I can get them through this heat.

Not been around for a while as life has been a bit hectic here - busy at work and all my social events of the year seem to be squashed into a month.

Take care - I won't leave it so long before popping along to virtual chat next time.

Hi Milann - yeah I recently planted strawberries and an apple tree I need to be really careful that I keep watering them....

Life is hectic here too - partly cos we still have to fit in all the housework while trying to live more...

I went to bed for about 3 hours this afternoon for a nap... OH and the kids sorted some of the clean washing into piles - so that will hopefully make it easier this week with the washing...

It has rained here pretty much all day so that's done the garden some good

We are still overspending - I have done my ebanking today and rung up my credit cards for current balances and got a shock! And that is without having yet paid for the padi course (£350)! I am still owed £450 in tax credits which will eventually help and if MIL does give me £450-600 for OH's birthday that will help too. Still waiting tho but it isn't his birthday yet.

OH has spent about £200 on computer bits recently - with my consent - but it isn't helping the overall picture.

Hopefully in the summer our grocery bill will go down, as will childcare as MIL or grandparents will have the kids.

I urgently need to at least take packed lunches to cut costs... and review our general spending... again!

I've not taken my hayfever tablets since Friday and I feel like I have so much more energy - that and it having gone cooler is definitely helping me at the moment.

Tomorrow I am going to try and take lunch in again and work later to try and build up some flexi-time. Wish me luck

I took lunch in today so that was good. Will need to go out later and buy some rain protection suitable for at an outdoor concert!

I have got DS emptying the car ready for tomorrow when we go and see JLS

I have just booked us a Marriott stay at the end of August with my tesco clubcard tokens - so 2 nights will only have cost us £50. MIL is babysitting. This is our rearranged trip originally planned for June.

I do want to cut our spending - but concert tomorrow will mean fuel and food

DD has been promised a cinema trip so that will probably be £25 or so - probably next week

Soon after that we will be on holiday

So don't think we will be back on budget until about Sept

Managed to get some adult plastic poncho style things for £1.50ish for 2 at Mr As so pleased with that! Here's hoping the rain won't be too bad!

I am working in the morning but then driving to Warwick castle tomorrow afternoon with DS - can't wait! My first ever out door pop concert!

My gp prescribes my hayfever tablets and there's 3 that i've had in recent times that are specifically non-drowsy, cos let's face it-the last thing someone with ME needs is more drowsiness! ;) I realise it's a more expensive way of doing it though, but the one you take I can't have for the drowsiness, and if it makes that much difference to you maybe you should try? Maybe if you checked for contraindications with the chemist you could try mine to see if they help? *shrug*

JLS were great - didn't like the support acts at all tho which included Diane Vickers! I got the parents to drop us off and pick us up as they live relatively close to the gig. Got lots of free Warwick castle vouchers too.

Went to work today - very late start but only finished at 6pm. DS is out at youth group and sleep over tonight... house seems very quiet and peaceful lol! OH got us a chinese which we can't really afford but we were both really past it! It was of course DD's school fair tonight too. I set myself a mini-budget and decided to treat it as a donation. Came home with zero crap as we went for the last 30 minutes or so- I was really chuffed at the zero extra clutter and even managed to win some vino on the raffle!

I talked to the chemist re the interaction between the 2 tablets and he completely denied there would be any. I don't believe him tho. I still remember being on S***at and the chemists and doctors denying then that they would be addictive or make you worse and guess what.... they were withdrawn after high profile bad publicity!!

:j:jWell today I got a letter saying my £40 a month loan is now fully repaid :j:j It was a 34 month loan and it seems to have taken forever!

I got a new card recently which I seem to have been spending too freely on (its 0% for balance transfers as well as spends) so I need to work out a cash budget for the week and just take that out with me I think.

I also set up a direct debit for it to pay it off but it hadn't gone out this month :eek:so I have had to phone them and ask why. They have accepted a debit payment and put a note on my account ;) as I was right a DD has been set up - unfortunately it is not in place until August.

We will be paying £1550 :joff one card (the 0% expires) this month but that will be helped by the card above and our overdraft but (no worse than last month) and we should then start to get back on the straight and narrow.

    We will also be paying
    £30 to BOA min payment
    £27 to RBS min
    £90 to PO above min
    £0 to MIL

They are all at 0% luckily. £1697 payments :jin total which is more than OH's salary :eek:but that will be made possible by

some spends on 0% card above
    some expenses payments
and that from August (which comes out of this month's pay) our mortgage is dropping from £750 to £189!:j:j:jwhich I know I have mentioned a few times but I am still so excited!

I still need to do our tax credits form so need to find all my tax info this weekend from last year - which won't be easy. I should then get my £450 owed to me from last year. Still waiting for MIL's birthday gift to OH of £450-600 to cover our holiday cottage which should make a dent in some of our recent spends... I am hopeful at some point I may get a tax refund from last year too - I can only hope!

Have a good weekend debt busting!
