    Thanks Tirl.

I went to bed normal time and pretty much just lay there all night - apart from when I snook down around 5am for a drink and some cake.... At least my body was resting even if my brain etc wasn't really.

Need to have a chat with my boss but she's ultra busy and only reachable by phone. I've said to some of my colleagues that I will be in this afternoon to help with a piece of work (rather than this morning).

A friend may be meeting me at home for lunch which will hopefully make me feel a little better. I am really frustrated - I just want to be healthy and my body is completely conspiring against me.... I am still not quite 3 months from the operation tho - and technically it would have been perfectly acceptable for me to not even have returned to work yet so hope they keep a strong focus on that rather than other stuff...

I've just had a yummy piece of cake and decaf coffee. I will shortly make myself a fruit smoothie to make up for that naughtiness and hopefully get some lovely vitamins and antioxidants flowing around my body again!!

Hi guys - well today was much better than expected. My boss was lovely...:A. why do I worry so much? :o So we've agreed I'll do a minimum number of hours - and do more if I feel I can. I started to panic in case I lost my job as my workload has dropped dramatically in the last few months while I've been off  - but my boss has other work planned for me so worrying over nothing about that too!!:o

It looks like I may have resolved another complex case :jand I've managed to delay another project that was worrying me ;) Big sigh of relief

Lunch with friend went well too.... A friend of hers is a counsellor and I may go to her and get some free counselling and see if that helps me get things in perspective and sort some things out for good. Worth a try.;)

Quite pleased - got CC bill today - the one I've been putting my food shopping on and it was really low for me. I'd overpaid £40ish last month, and got an insurance refund of £136 and had 2 refunds of about £9.50 in total - so only have £128 left to pay.... Normally it would be at least £400 and in the summer it had got up to like £1200

My insurance docs arrived today which was also good

Hi guys - well just done my weekly shop - which including delivery is £82 - a few weeks ago I was struggling to get it less than £100! I still have lots in my freezer and my store cupboard so I am partly buying now because of the fresh food I like to eat - and also cos I know if I don't I am more likely to go into the shops (and spend far more). Some of what I bought is freezeable if I got it wrong anyway!

OH has had a gym leaflet thro at work - open 24/7 for £17 per month so he is going to do it! I think it is great.... No contract - would do it myself but its 5 mins from his work but about 15 miles from home so no good for us.... I'm still interested in rejoining the gym as are the kids but can't afford it right now...

Hi SH - that sounds like a good deal for the gym. The gym I used to go to changed brands recently so is now only £11.99 a month and there is no contract so if you stop going, you just cancel it.

Are there any local authority facilities nearby? Ours has special deals for under 16's - some stuff, like swimming is free, and they only pay £1 per visit for everything else.

Hi Gill - swimming isn't free here any more it was at one point. I suppose I could check out what under 16s are allowed to do in the council/college run gyms as DS wants to use the cross trainer and treadmill. He's asked to go back to the gym. £12 is a really good deal. DS we could renew at £10 a month until he's 15 but the gym is a bit of trek if he was trying to get there without us... If we could get him into one that was nearer that would be good. If OH isn't going to the gym by us that would knock money off the £85 pcm anyway - as £20 of that was for the kids. So effectively its as if he's getting half price gym membership. We need to check around for local deals - but I still don't feel fit enough (and am still not getting enough sleep) and DD only really wants to swim not the rest of it and I hate council pools with a passion (or should I say their changing rooms and wet areas)....

Felt like I just lay there mostly awake last night again which is pretty rubbish. Going to take an extra tablet tonight just in the hope I get to sleep. Hot flushes all night really aren't helping. But my temperature gauge goes to pot when I don't sleep anyway so it may not be all the menopause. OH has a big medical test next week perhaps things will improve after that.... He's still not rung up for his blood test results... My conversation with my friend was quite deep yesterday so bits of that were playing on my mind... you know the kind of "should I have said that" stuff

I'm planning to nip to the doctor's on the way to work (I always forget afterwards) and pick up my prescriptions and drop off my insurance form - that is all filled in ready for the doctor's bit but not done yet!!

I've made a breakfast smoothie so in theory starting the day right. Still need to go and have a shower and work out what I can wear that is warm enough but cool enough at the same time!! Why does all this junk happen to women not men!!

  • Just thinking, are you on HRT? Could that be responsible for some of what's going on?

I am on HRT - but it doesn't seem to be working... But it protects against osteoarthritis so...... I am limited in what ones I can take

OH has just done the CC transfer for the car etc so waiting to see if that goes thro okay. Will be cheaper than keeping it as a car loan. Just need to focus on paying it off as quick as we can.

We've been underpaying on gas and electric and apparently we owe them nearly £500 so they want to majorly up our payments... cue to look at switching via quidco I think. I am giving them a chance to tell me if I'm on the cheapest tarriff and what they could move me to but if that doesn't come out well will shift

Apparently - if I stay with Eon until mid Dec I get £100 bonus :T- so I would be better switching the day after to their online tarriff or switching away from them after that.... :money:so will wait for now. They also told me that not servicing my boiler could be costing me up to 30% more gas usage :eek:as there could be blockages somewhere in my central heating system etc. Not sure if we believe that. So OH briefly put the central heating on, went round bleeding the radiators and found that they were okay except the ones in our ensuite and the kids bathroom so he's "sorted" them. I'm not convinced :p as the front radiators in our house never seem to kick out enough heat in the winter - I also think that our clock setting system on the central heating / hot water is playing up and wonder if we should do something about that. Eon tried to sell me their central heating plan at about £16.50 a month - discounted by 25% for the first 6 months but we'll see.... Not rushing into anything....

Want to choose some paint colours for hall, stairs, landing, front room, study, downstairs loo and then either get us/family to do some painting or see if someone we know wants to earn some extra pennies and do it for us.... Just want to invest in our house a little and clean and tidy things up including paintwork that hasn't been touched in 5 years or more!:o Thing is normally I'd roll up my sleaves and do it myself but since I'm struggling to even complete a full work week that would be stupid right now....:( OH is unlikely to get round to it.... [insert thoughts here]

MrA delivery never turned up:mad::mad::mad: so don't know what will happen about that - will they send it in the morning or what? Really annoyed! Will be demanding some kind of compensation even if it is just free delivery!! Food wise we can manage although we are running low on milk, have no bread, or ham and if I go in for them I know I'll end up spending more!:o

Just straightened my hair - couldn't be bothered earlier - and I'd forgotten where I'd put my straighteners:rotfl:. I lay in bed ages last night desperate to sleep so thought would wait longer tonight until I feel more tired before going to bed.

Want to go to B&Q tomorrow to look at paint. Also have a 20% off M&S voucher I want to use. Want to buy some new boots and possibly some shoes. I also want to measure up the front window and look at different options for blinds / curtains / roman blind etc and be sure I am making right decision. Current curtains cover the tops of the radiator which I don't think is helping with heat distribution!!

Other than that it is just all the usual weekend stuff - trying to get the washing done, sorting out the kids, church etc Air cadets is cancelled for a couple of weeks so DS is enjoying the break.

I made orange loaf cake today - very yummy, I secretly made 2 - :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:just as well as one has gone already!!:p
