Luckily this was a one roasting pan deal and a plastic bowl for the peas so not too much mess.

I am so grumpy tonight it is unreal! I think it is just I am soooooo tired!! With DD's appointment today was just far too stressful!!

Poor OH has just got home and can't understand why I'm so stressed since he's the one that's been out 13 hours.... but then the idea of kids medical appointments hasn't ever tended to feature in his diary/brain...

DS won a design competition at school today - was proud of him. DD also did street dance despite aching feet so proud of her for that.... Just feel wiped myself and desperate for some decent tele to watch but there is none.... got no decent books either.....

  • I think it must be a day for it. I've been off, cleaned the whole house and it's still looking clean however all I want to do is go to bed. Can't be bothered finding something to watch or read and even bored of being on the computer.

    Hi AH and Lu

DS decided that sorting the washing wasn't worth the monetary reward! Luckily OH stepped in after all and together with DD he actually sorted the washing. He even put the cream on DD's eczema and laid the law down about the kid's bedrooms and finished packing the dishwasher!! Miracle!! Perhaps he actually heard me when I said I wasn't coping!!! Or perhaps he snook a look at my diary or someone had a word.... Or perhaps it was literally a miracle... Either way I am very grateful

Cheered me up.... Made me feel less alone... Of course the piles are still in the lounge and not where they belong but lets not be picky!! Just getting DS to put DD's stuff in the basket and take it up to her room - and 2 bags of underwear for OH and I upstairs at least that will be a start.

Cleaner is coming tomorrow so should come back to a much cleaner house which will be a relief. Almost worth going into work for....

Hi guys - well cleaner was worth every penny! Feels so much better!

I had a really hard day of work today - was asked to go in work first thing for a meeting - and then told would be seen after instead.

I accidentally missed my DD's assembly so was in the doghouse with her.

One of the really complex jobs I had - is now resolved and raising my profile in a good way - other more stressful ones remain difficult.

I chased OHU today and they have written to me and my manager suggesting that I slow down my phased return which is positive and scary at the same time (as in this recession wary of putting head above the parapet for negative reasons). I'm hopeful that since the hours that I am in - I am still really good at what I do - they will continue to bear with me... I came home after work today and basically went to bed for 3 hours with a barely a word with the kids - which I think demonstrates I'm just not up to working the hours currently expected of me.... I did manage about half an hour with DD before she went to bed and DS is now sitting with me in the lounge - its hard being a working parent and not being in full health

OH made tea. I ate leftovers from another day. Currently making a coffee cake which is surprisingly easy with my new(ish) foodprocessor. had to send DS out for self raising flour as I had run out. Yummy decaf coffee cake LOL

I had a longer lunch to try and give my brain a break but didn't really work. I bought some easy reading books to try and get my brain to switch off easier which was nice...

Good luck DT - I now have 1 gold star LOL - don't know if I will carry on....

Just had some of my yummy coffee cake - need to take tablets and try to go to bed. I have had 2 diclofenac today and 3 lots of paracetamol and am still in pain.... The note from OHU was suggesting I might be struggling for reasons other than my Operation but completely ignored the fact there is a pain element going on here too!! Just hope it doesn't cause me problems with my boss....
