Well had a lovely ham salad with jacket spud and coleslaw for lunch. Yummy. Then walked to work since it was such lovely weather. Very hot when I got there... first job was looking for the fan that sat on my desk before I went off sick... Got it back now... Work went okay - not quite as tiring today.:T
Just set up my indemnity insurance - for about £36 a year cheaper than the quote the other day so going to add that to my challenge money.:money: That's a relief as I will only have to pay about £16 a month rather than it all up front.:money: I do my first snippet of paid work tomorrow. Exciting! Scary! All of the above! Still not heard any more about bank account details but think it will be Thurs at earliest...
DS annoyingly locked himself out today - so it was a good job that DD was at school late doing dancing! he came to meet me in the end He had less than 10 mins to have a shower and get changed before going to a party.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi BW - nice to see you.
Well I got DD to try on all the clothes in the pile waiting for her but basically she's not slim enough for them!! She's never had a waist but always still seemed slim or compact - but this summer she seems to have ballooned. She has also gained breasts but I can't work out whether this is her body starting to change ready for puberty or whether her "breasts" are just cos she's overweight!! I know that sounds really harsh! Anyway since I don't want her growing up with a complex or eating disorder I've been out and bought her some new clothes from Mr As which will hopefully fit and I will get her to try them on tomorrow night - and hopefully that will restore her confidence.
I also bought OH some clothes - but will take back whatever doesn't fit / look good.
Ideally I need to try and have a shower and straighten my hair tonight rather than in the morning as I have lots to fit in tomorrow. I still need to work out my business hourly rate too for my client... Ideally I need to get terms of service from somewhere etc too.... EEK!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Shower been postponed to tomorrow morning LOL. I'd better take my tablets and get to bed asap and then get up early tomorrow.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Glad work is going well Sh. I would have thought the dress seam issue would have been a one off, and if you like & need the dress then I'd get another one.
Good luck with the consultancy"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

Hi BZ and Tirl - the call went fine but now they've rung and they want to change the dates which is awkward:eek:. The work should be slightly easier tho:cool:. I need to find out if my manager will let me change the dates... if not it could be bye bye consultancy work!! Boohoo!
They are trying to get someone in place long term and offered me the job again today LOL but I'm sticking where I am.
My return to work is going fine so far - I doubt if I will stick to the Occ Health recommended hours - think I will up them. Did a little extra at work today.
Just had yummy sausages, beans and mash for tea - probably around £1 per person. OH is computer gaming tonight which is irritating... I am itching to go out so may do so... May ring one of my friends and see if she's free - if she's not may go out anyway.
I had to buy DD some clothes yesterday as she has overtaken my clothes supply -ie in sizes - partly because she's put on weight bless her. I blame her nan during the summer - but she's all upset as she says she looks fat - which she does:eek:. I have tried to get her more flattering clothes but it isn't easy. It's very hard to get the healthy eating, healthy exercise message across without risking giving her a food disorder - that is my ongoing fear anyway in tackling it
Oh well bye for nowAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well had a nice time out with my friend - only about the second time we've gone out alone together this year due to illness - her kids etc. Discussed a plan of action for tackling DD's whining behaviour - wish me luck!! OH had the nerve to say she wasn't whiney for him - oh yeah what about on family outings - he doesn't want to get stuck with her while me and well behaved DS go on ahead because a) she's slow and b) she's whiney. Anyway we are going to try and use her sticker reward chart to tackle that - particularly on the way to and from school - and see if things improve.
She's also been waking her brother up early and we want to put a stop to that so I think this weekend we will get a hook and eye to put on his door so he can block her out.... I'm slightly worried he will try and block us out with it but need to do something.
I also want the whole family to tackle the tidiness thing so it isn't always a mad panic if people come over to get tidy!! Perhaps I need a reward chart for me and OH!! never mind the kids !! LOLAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
