For some reason in pain tonight - think from combination of walking to corner shop, sitting and standing at church singing and then later cooking)... resorted to low level cocodomol tonight as in too much pain... If you can imagine what a fiery appendix would feel like it feel a bit like that...!
Well in MSE terms - my grocery spend is improving thanks to online shopping and delivery rather than going in and overspending. We have also reduced our top up spends which is good. I've also got stuff drying on the line again... I have also done quite a bit of my xmas shop....Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks BZ - slept funny last night -partly because I was in pain. I think the cocodomol also gave me weird dreams. DS woke me up at school time as he had the D part of D&V - we let him off going to school but told him to take tablets to stop the problem. After a while I got woken up by an insurance broker about my indemnity insurance.... He's calling me back shortly. I'm about to have my porridge, but still not dressed, no makeup and have to meet my friend at 12pm! I've just weighed myself and have put 4lbs on this week - my main meals are healthy but I've been snacking on naughty chocolate biscuits!!
Oh well onwards and upwards. I wonder if I still have an infection too so am seeing the GP before work tomorrow... My body seems to have really objected to something I did yesterday - all I can think of that was different was standing for long periods.... I hate my body not just being "normal" and "obedient" ie no pain LOL I'm not going to let it get in the way of going back to work tho as I think you notice pain more the more you're off - distraction is always good therapy for me. I feel shattered before I've begun tho.
I think I will feel better once I've been back.... you always secretly worry when you've been off for a while... Hi ho hi ho its off to work I go..... hi ho hi ho hi ho....Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks CMD, Lu, FB and Tirl! Lovely to come back to all your posts
Today went fine - I work with a nice bunch. I was surprised how quickly my brain turned to mush! It took over an hour to be able to log on but I read other stuff while I was waiting.... I talked to someone else who had recently had an op and was still recovering despite being back at work.
Came home and felt really grumpy so took myself upstairs for an hour until I felt more like myself again. Got a quick visit to the doc's tomorrow just to make sure there is nothing else going on. I think physically my body is up to working... mentally my brain has turned to mush LOL despite my best efforts!!
I think tho I'll cope at 3 hours a day to start with - and I've come back to half the workload that I left so my workload is a lot more reasonable than before the operation...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Watched Lovely Bones on the tv tonight - that was one weird film! Also nipped to Boots and made the most of their £5 voucher offers - I used 4 and still have 1 left. I also nipped to Mr As and bought a bit more meat and some potatoes... I also bought some special offer cake stuff for later in the year...
OH has shock horror actually packed the dishwasher without being asked! I did say to him yesterday that since I was now going back to work he couldn't rely on me doing everything...
I also played on the xfactor wii game with DD earlier... Bless her. DS is better than both of us but luckily for me he wasn't playing LOLAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi guys - well I slept really badly last night...:( one of those night where it was far too warm, and I felt like I was sweating cobs!! :oThe window was open but was still too hot. I was awake most of the night... looked at my phone clock regularly throughout the night.... Didn't get up tho as I figure my body needs the rest
I've been to the GP this morning - they've said diclofenic is an anti-inflamatory and not particularly addictive - and would be fine to carry on taking if I need to. She also said that perhaps I should take more of the diazepam to re-establish a sleep pattern but try and see my regular doctor next time to discuss it properly. She gave me a new prescription which was helpful. Her attitude was I had had major surgery and that it is perfectly normal to still be on these kinds of tablets (in other words I am too hard on myself and am expecting things to improve too quickly).:o
I do feel better about taking them now. One of the other doctors I spoke to along the way had been less supportivewhich I think is why I felt more wary of it as an issue. I think if I take the diclofenic before work I may walk there as I think the exercise will do me good and may help me sleep later. I will need to leave exactly on time tho as I need to pick DD up from school at 4.30pm. Parking charges at work have gone up to nearly £3 a day and I don't want to be paying that....!:money:I only live just over a mile from work so really should walk when I can (and the weather isn't too atrocious!)
The dress I bought last week from BHS that I was so pleased with - I looked at it today and it has a hole in it :eek:where the seam has come undone so that will be going back... Don't know whether to risk getting another one or not? So I have had to wear a dress today that potentially has too much cleavage on show and put a cami underneath it to make it look respectable :rotfl:What's a girl supposed to do ? :rotfl:I've also got one of those knitted boleros to cover up my back and shoulders!!
Just having a home made smoothie for brekkie and wondering what to do for lunch....Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
