Is it just the children who are away this week? Will that give you a chance for a rest?

    Hi Gill

Yes just kids away from lunchtime today to around 3pm Friday and then we go to Majorca Saturday for 10 days which should be fab!:j:j:jCan't wait! It always feels like respite when they go away even tho they are basically good children ;)- it still is a nice break for us. :D

OH and I went to a friends to drop them off (they were taking them for us) and chatted for an hour or so and then went to our favourite NT propertly for lunch and a walk:j. Bought a mcflurry on the way back tho but brought it home and ate with strawberries, grapes and pineapple so I'm sure it was healthy really LOL:rotfl:

We are having a group of 6 friends over Thursday night - and its a pretty much everyone bring something meal. So one couple is bringing the starter, we are doing the main and another couple is doing the puds. The fourth couple are skint so we'll probably just get any drinks in and not worrry about it. Really hoping it will be nice enough weather to sit outside... ;)

Still going thro cocodomol and tramadol withdrawal so period type stomach cramps, shivers, freezing feet, sudden hot and cold etc. I am now off tramadol and have now broken the prescription strength cocodomol in half - and am on my third half of the day which is good. Hoping to graduate to non-prescription 8 strength cocodomol perhaps from tomorrow.... (was on 8*30/500 on Friday plus tramadol:eek:) so I think moving quickly.... But was advised by a GP Friday to use this bank holiday to try and get off them if I could so doing my best!

I would prefer not to be taking loads of drugs thro customs  next week even if they are prescription medication!!:o Afraid I am planning to stick with the valium a bit longer tho but if I take 19 tablets out of my system that has to be good.... The backs of my legs that have been feeling really achey throughout my time on the above drugs seem to be improving making me now think it was a side effect. It will be interesting to see what side effects stay and which go as the week goes on.... then I will know what is due to the hormone injection I'm having and the :oHRT etc in prep for my operation in July

It will also be interesting to see if I manage to sleep okay on holiday if I step back the valium while we are away.... we'll see. I have to see Occ Health on Friday first - may see what they advise. Hoping for some counselling support pre-op....

Typically I just got my ortho specialist referral date thro :o 4 days after the big Operation :rotfl:the communication in the NHS is just fab :rotfl:

You seem to get wonderful support with your children. That is why I want to move home, so we can get more support from our families.

Hi SH, the withdrawal plan seems to be working OK. It's difficult when there are so many different drugs to know which ones cause different side effects. The thought of taking drugs through customs petrifies me, and I've always been scared when Mum travels, for precisely that reason. Especially as she is on insulin. She never had problems going to Spain, but in Germany last year she was glad she had German speaking friends with her.

Well meeting went well - despite sickness this year got a rating of Excellent in my annual review which is what I was hoping for but you are never quite sure....

I also talked to my boss about the fact I would be out of full pay after 4 weeks, after my operation and she talked about ways of putting me back in pay just by doing a few hours a week at home so that sounded positive - while of course not wanting me to come back too soon.

Have come home so can work from home - after of course picking up my prescription first and having my lunch. I want to review my medicine cabinet and make sure I have enough of everything ready for my holiday. Need to make sure I pick it up before I go too...

    Hi guys mad hectic week

Now off both cocodomol and tramadol which is good - and over most of the withdrawal.

Had a mad tidy up for a couple of nights before friends came over

Kids got back today - so done loads washing, packing, some last minute shopping and bank transferring ready for going away. Will be offline for a little bit - see you when I get back!

Had a lovely 10 day break away abroad. Smashed up suitcase on the way there, and on the way back thanks Ryanair and associated airport ground crew! Thunder and lightening on at least 4 days. I had flu when I got there, DS came home with flu and DD came home with an ear infection - but strangely I still feel rested, relaxed and ready for action. The dose of sun, sea and sand and all inclusive meals and drinks were just what I needed. In practice the kids were happy, OH did his part and it was a good time.

I bought a book by John Williams called "screw work let's play" which will hopefully prove life changing which both me and OH have now read together with Michael Heppel's book "flip it" which is also excellente! DS is now even reading it to see how he can make money at 13 bless!

My arm seems to have finally recovered, I am off all the painkillers, so taking 19 less tablets a day now which is amazing. Brain fog seems to have lifted and I feel all fired up ready for action. OH and I have just come back from a 4 mile walk, despite me also having to take DD to doctor today, work from home finishing very late due to late start and taking DD to MIL's to be looked after tomorrow. I've even managed to read some novels again which I haven't been able to do for 4 months. Strangely the hot flushes seem to have stopped while I was abroad too - not restarted yet... We'll see

Perhaps will look at bank account tomorrow and see how that's doing... but get paid Friday for me, and Monday for OH so not too worried

    Hope everyone is okay...
