Telecom Plus Poorer and poorer

I don't like the insinuation here.
If character assasinations are going to take place - particularly at me personally on this site - I will defend myself accordingly.
It seems neither the moderators nor Martin on this site can manage things effectively in order to discourage such comments. In fact, they appear to encourage it.
Chris: The 'up coming' "convention" has absolutely nothing to do with my 'being here' on this site or not.
So, what was it that I said that was untrue and bad advice?
I have never coerced ANYBODY into taking services with TP and never will do so either. The choice - as I have always said to all my customers - is down to the individual.Mark E

Here is my latest communication to Tplus.
I think I have done everything I can - providing readings by phone, fax, blood etc, and making many phone calls.
I believe that I have now met all the regulations and tried hard to resolve it.
I am waiting for a refund and would like to know when it is coming.
The story is as follows:
1) On 29/3 I disputed my electricity reading.
2) On 1/6 I chased this after receiving a large bill and you said you had failed to get the reading
confirmed with my old supplier.
3) I called my old supplier and got them to call you.
4) You said they had phoned and you now had the reading and would refund me at the end of June.
5) I called on 1/7 after receiving no refund. I spoke to Richard who told me that you now required the
reading by FAX (contrary to what I was told in 4).
6) Richard called me on 16/6 to say that he had the reading confirmed by fax and would get a bill
raised ASAP so that I could have my refund.
7) I chased this on 28/6 and was told that it was in progress but no-one in the admin team could be
contacted at that time.
8) I have called today and cannot get an answer.
Please arrange my refund ASAP as agreed on 16/6.
Unfortunately if this is not forthcoming in the next 7 days then I will need to consider reclaiming this
in the small claim court.0 -

But under what category would you put your posts posing as a satisfied customer, if not coercion, then what is the ethical consideration?
Here are a couple of posts from you claiming to be a helpful satisfied customer - but not declaring your true colours:Telecom plus will supply NR postcodes with the cheapest gas and electricity in the UK (guaranteed) for all their customers using their telephone service as well (which will also save you money), who pay monthly by direct debit. They WILL save you money. They have saved my wife and I £322 over the last ten months on telephone, gas and electricity alone.
(How come the "NR" postcodes are "guaranteed" the cheapest gas/electricity when we know that claim from T+ has been time after time found to be misleading in other parts of the country?)I used Orange pay-as-you-go and it cost me a fortune (£80 one busy month, mainly off-peak too). Now I pay £5.99 line rental, have a FREE SIM card for my own mobile and calls to the same network of 5p/min at ANY time of day and ANY day. My bill is nowhere near what it used to be - and I'm not tied in. SMS's cost 2p to the same network.
The service (from Telecom plus) uses the T-Mobile or O2 network and there are inclusive minute services too.

@ Cos
There is one aspect of their business that T+ excel in - the collection of cash from their members!!
Their Ts + Cs do allow them to take money from any credit or debit cards that you have given them the numbers for, so beware!!
It seems that if you want to prevent them taking any money from you for a disputed invoice you will have to cancel your direct debits AND your credit/debit cards (if you have misguidedly and in good faith used them with this outfit).
Any reputable company would issue the Ts + Cs to all customers prior to them signing a contract.
In the case of T+, they issued revised Ts + Cs in March, and again any reputable company would issue a new set of Ts + Cs to all existing customers if they wanted to now start using them - it seems from Cos's posts that this has not been the case.
We do know from previous posts that their independent staff have to fund their stationery (one of their reps once denied a price rise was imminent as it would mean all their recently purchased stationery would be wasted!), so perhaps it's down to your rep to buy the Ts + Cs and send you a copy? (We know that the rep gets a cut of your bill for ever more after you've signed up, so presumably they can afford to buy in the company stationery).
In the absence of your Rep helping you, this is the relevant section they use to get their money from you even if you dispute you owe them:If we have not received a payment by the due date, a late payment charge of 1% of the balance outstanding on your account will be added to your next monthly bill or statement. We may also collect overdue payments from any debit or credit card whose details you have provided to us.0 -
Smartass thankyou for the info, its agreat shame it had to come from a non TP rep, but what would one expect from this shower, honestyRememember. Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.

I think I have finally sorted out my billing problems with Tplus, however I am very frustrated with their customer services.
I am afraid on this basis I couldn't recommend them.
Here's the details.
1) Called on 29/3 to dispute initally electricity reading.
2) At the end of May got a big bill, rang up to complain because they said they would not do this whilst my reading was in dispute.
3) Asked them what they needed to sort it out. They said reading from old supplier. I got old supplier to provide it by phone. I confirmed with Tplus that everything was now OK and refund would come at end of June.
4) No refund at end of June. Called again and was told they need it by FAX. Got it supplied by fax.
5) On 16/6 it was agreed that it was sorted and that they would raised a bill immediately and supply me with credit.
6) On 30/6 they get my new meter reading and decide that the credit will cover my next bill so they aren't going to credit me. This is not what was agreed.
Very frustrating being told different things each time I ring. Plus would have been a problem if I was hard up.
I now hope that everything will be settled down and I will have no need to call them on an ongoing basis.
Wouldn't recommend to friends and colleagues though with all the problems.0 -
TPlus have a very poor attitude towards their customers and that includes their Reps who can't be bothered to reply to clients emails dispite promising a reply with in two days, let alone reply to emails via this site. The response I got on the telephone was poor as on many occasions I was left on hold.
Having made a few phone calls this morning I have discovered that TPlus are not worth signing up to unless of course you wish to take on a business through them to scam or make money from others >:(. I have found several companies who can save me 3-4% :Dmore on both utilities ( something most of you money savers already knew) ;) and MarkE as already said that TPlus can't beat my Telephone because I use 1899.com.
Its been obvious to some that TPlus reps have used this site to advertise their wares by stealth for far to long and the only consolation of this to me is that I can voice my concerns with the knowledge I will be read by TPlus as contacting them directly is a total waste of timeRememember. And what is wrong with the answers you get from me about this outfit?? ??? ;D ;D ;D

It is interesting to note the deafening silence from a certain T-Plus Rep in answer to the "outing" of his attempt to fool us by posing as a satisfied customer of T+, and his claim that they save you money - "guaranteed".
And his belter:You'd be hard pushed to find something better...0
