    Hi Gary,

Do you (or any of the other distributors) know whether any thing is being done at Tplus about late (paper) bills being received.

My understanding of the situation is this:-

On a national basis, many of us are receiving bills very late and in some cases after direct debits have been taken.
This is not in accordance with the law or Tplus promises.

Mark E says this is a Royal Mail problem, but it is not being experienced with any other bills to my knowledge.

Perhaps it is the outgoing Royal mail service at the Tplus end??

Do you know whether there are any investigations or improvements going on?

BTW - I receive my bill electronically so I don't have a personal problem. I am asking out of interest and for the benefit of customers who are not on-line.

    Thanks
    Lisa

I have now sorted out the problem.

I called my previous supplier and they called Tplus with the correct meter reading.

    And so it goes on......

I disputed an initial reading for my electricity on 29/3.
TPlus told me they could not alter it until they got it confirmed from Servista and failed to do so.
I got Servista to phone them.
On 2/6 I was told it was OK and I would get a credit.
Got my ebill recently and it hadn't been done.

Rang them again and they said they need it by FAX.
They have now got that and say they are going to do my credit.

Luckily I had the E-bill to work with - lets see what happens with the paper one.

Whilst I am here. Further to my earlier posting 27/5.

TPlus made accusations towards British Gas saying that BG would not release me as I had signed a contract with them.

The plot thickens and I hope your reading MarkE as the evidence of TPlus's incompetence is building. May be TPlus had a hand in giving false info about the companies listed on the link below.

    http://money.guardian.co.uk/utilities/story/0,11992,1100990,00.html

I spoke to Virgin Energy (who use London Electric )today as I found out they hold my Gas account and have no record of TPlus ever contacting them for transfer. The only company of which has contacted them this week is Southern Electric whom have applied to take back both services with my permission.

Alan Howes senior executive I hope your reading this as I am discusted with you and the advice of your Reps as I am with TPlus.

Today I opened a letter from TPlus advising me that because they could not get payment for £23.02 via Direct Debit they have taken it from my Credit Card of which I provided for a previous payment. They tell me the payment was taken to prevent my telephone service being cut off.

I do not have a Telephone account or a Gas account with TPlus according to them as my previous postings advise.

Theres a warning to all regarding this bunch of thieves is that if you have had dealings with this company check your bank accounts just in case you have been robbed.  >:(

I have the mobile service electric and gas from T+.
I have decided that i will take my business elsewhere as of today..
I wanted to cancel my mobile service which i have with them it's the service that allows you to keep your existing mobile and pay as you go.
When i asked for my P A C code they said that they wanted £20.00 for giving it to me. I thought that this was terrible considering the majority of providers out there wouldn't charge.
When i complained i was spoken to by a robot who kept repeating over and over that it was an admin charge and that i should have read the t&c's when i signed up.
He even refused to tell me the breakdown of the cost. He just kept repeating over and over again the same line that i have just mentioned.
Anyway beware anyone thinking of moving to them the customer care as far as i am concerned sucks!.
He wasn't even bothered that i was going to move my electric and gas away because of it and that i would be writting my comments in a post on this site. >:(

Futher to my recent moans. TPlus once again did not fulfil their promise and send me a copy of their T and C's to prove that they can steal from peoples Credit Cards as they have with me, also I have had no response to my Emails as they promise on their web site to respond with in two days, its been over a week now.

The truth often causes offence and therefore I have removed the original  paragraph of which filled this space.

I am back with Southen Electricity and found their customer service well worth the £60.00 a year I may have saved. ;)

Hi Hansi  - Hey, don't shoot the messenger!

    I'm not the EnergyHelpline!!  ;D

On a serious moneysaving note, the Telecomplus offpeak rate does sound competitive (0.7p/min), but as always with T+, their rates are clouded by other charges (the membership fee + the £1 minimum charge totals £2.76 a month for the telephone service).

There is a cheaper alternative at 0.69/min with just-dial, and you don't have any other membership fees or monthly charges to pay!

The T+ peak rate is comparatively high these days at 2.5p/min (eg, you could use telestunt at 1p/min via BT).

So in the light of these cheaper rates, what is the attraction to the T+ system?

(I realise this is the electric/gas/water forum, but have posted these comparative rates to the T+ ones 'promoted' in the posts above purely in the interests of moneysaving!)

    Dear Mr. Smartass,

The essance of a lie is the intent to deceive...

To say that there is £2.76 charge for the telephone service is untrue.... there is a £2.76 charge for a legion of offers... gas, electric, telephone, on-line shopping, white goods, computer bits and bobs and thousands yes thousands of other items....

So Mr. S why do you not divide the £2.76 by just one thousand and 'yer paying nish gelt extra for items'

For those that disbelieve log on to https://www.telecomplus.org.uk/beeline (please do NOT buy from my web site as I do not give it for personal gain)

Oh by the way I have been receiving all the utilities for over three years and have NEVER found it necessary to contact the office for a query regards them and for all those reading this... how many times have you found it necessary to contact your supplier; if the answer is next to nil then the opening times of TP is nothing but a red herring.

0 out of 10 Mr. S you must try harder.

    Alan Howes TP Exec.

how many times have you found it necessary to contact your supplier

I have had to contact Tplus a number of times

    a) for billing issues e.g. not pro-rating club fee during first month
    b) late bills
    c) dispute over initial reading which they have failed to sort out after 3 months and still trying to get refund
    d) initially took £10 when told they wouldn't

If you have hardly had to contact your supplier then you have been lucky.

Fortunately I able to make personal calls at work so it isn't a problem for me, but it COULD be an issue for people who have difficulty making personal calls during working hours.

I am pleased to had received a communication from my Credit Card company company whom are investigating TPlus with regards to the money thay have taken form my account fraudulently.

Just a thought when you take out a Gas/Electricity contract it seems you have signed over the right to allow TPlus to disconnect your phone even if you don't have a Telephone contract. It must be correct as they have sent me letters saying they will do so, damn now I have to get BT involved and the watch dog.

Please, can some one print a copy of their T and C's as they still won't send one to me dispite their promise, I am interested in the part where it says TPlus can take money from peoples Credit Cards with out their permission I am told they can do this also as it is in the contract. I did try to down load it from their site but did'nt have any luck.

    Thanks in advance ;)

I am very disappointed in MarkE as he as not given any support or advise dispite receiving the comission from my contracts and I now realise he is a TP Agent not to be trusted and wish I did'nt listen to his lousy advise originally.
    quote]

Personal opinion from COS, but simply not true.

I am refraining from saying anything here on this matter as it helps no-one and is misleading to those who are not in possession of the full facts.

Martin's opening para on this site states:

'... please be nice to other MoneySavers.'

    ;)Mark E

NB: The 'not to be trusted' reference to me is very offensive and completely untrue.
No reliance should be placed on the above.

The first true quote I have heard from TPlus for along time. ;D

I apoligise for any remarks made on a previous posting of which may have caused a few sparks with representitives of TPlus . I could'nt help noting that the annual convention of TP reps is over as there is a sudden appearance of TPlus reps. :o
