    I follow you, Lisyloo!

You are saying that if you take on the T+ telephone service alone, then the minimum annual cost is £31.12. (There can't be any advantage to taking this scheme rather than the others around which charge lower call rates and no other fees - unless I'm missing something?)

If you are already a 'member' at Telecom Plus, then by taking the telephone service you won't be charged the £1.76/month membership. And if you keep the extra service for at least 15 months you will get a £10 discount applied to your bill.

But you would still end up paying more per call than others charge, plus the minimum of £1/month - so, again, where is the advantage over just using other companies who charge less per call than T+?
At long last Mr Smartass I can agree with sometyhing you saY... YES INDEED "YOU ARE MISSING SOMETHING"

About 90 pence in the pound

Following the above posts regarding the disgraceful situation whereby we have discovered that T+ store any card details customers supply for possible future use when invoices are disputed and direct debits cancelled, it is staggering to note that the Senior Exec at T.Plus posts a quote from a completely separate topic (regarding the cost of T+ telephone service) with something unfathomable by way of comment!

Yet no comment on this latest credit/debit card concern!

    **********************************
However, with regard to the quote you posted about your telephony service, Mr Howes, perhaps you could answer the main question which was posed:
where is the advantage over just using other companies who charge less per call than T+?

I have sent another email regarding my complaint and actions to Telecom Plus a copy of the Email has also been forwarded to two of the Directors and I will continue to forward them to the Directors until I get a reply.

I have also received a reply from the Energy watch dog who have past on my complaint and I am also waiting for a response from BBC Watch Dog.

I will also make a formal complain to the Office of Fair Trading regarding this companies methods and  also report Telecom Plus to the Advertising Standards authority as they are still advertising to be the cheapest Gas and Electricity in the Uk.

I did'nt realise how they can keep one so busy ;D I will have to send them a bill soon.

...as I don't have a copy of the T and C's of which I signed as my dear agent of the day because I thought he was a trust worthy guy did not return them...

This is simply not true COS. I ALWAYS return copies of application forms to customers, have always done so and will continue to do so. I returned the blue copy of your application form to you pronto.

Please retract the defamatory remarks about me and do not continue to make any further defamatory remarks such as this, as they are not true - and this applies to everybody else.

I did alared, a long time ago (but nobody believes me do they?), so there is absolutely no point in me going over old ground, or any other ground for that matter, being publicly defamed as I am here and expected to help!

    Would you?

As for the 'Big Deal' - I have wondered this myself a great many times...

I see no post of mine to be defamatory to anyone. Any such posting  I have made of which I considered to have been near the knuckle have been previously edited or removed.

As Tplus reps have read this site I am amazed they have not done the civil thing and realised the difficulties people are having with TPlus and give a hand, I am deeply disappointed in you all to say the least. It is a case of getting as many people to change over to TPlus and taking the comission with out offering a follow up service when things go wrong.

Did any Rep come forward and help Jimbo regarding the Telephone contract he signed ?

I would like to know why TPlus won't reply to my emails.

I would like to no why TPlus are still stating that they are the cheapest supplier of Gas and Electricity in the UK.

Smartass pointed out that certain items of importance to the customer is buried in the small print ie: The taking of payments from Credit Cards of which customers have previously used. Why so?

COS: The statement suggesting I am anything other than honest is not only untrue but unwarranted. Is this not defamatory (or attempting to be?)?

I may have been able to help you if I had known about your recent issues personally (rather than having to visit this site and read messages via a public forum), although your dispute is with Head Office and not me. This isn't shirking my (or any other distributors) responsibilities. We do not have the means to deal with such matters - although many try to, including me. This is reflected in the way many organisations work, not just TP.

[...I await the criticism that will inevitably follow my comment above...]

In addition, I have not had the opportunity to visit this site for a long time (let alone do many other things) and don't need to explain myself with reasons why to readers here.

It doesn't automatically follow that I don't care.

The Smartasss reference to things being buried in small print (in relation to payments being made other than direct debit; e.g. by credit card) is not hidden in the small print. It is clearly stated in bold on the back of application forms. I cannot comment further with regard to your particular experience, as I do not know of the exact circumstances surrounding this issue and I am not in a position to do so. You were posted your application copy some time ago.

The constant, blatant, forever fault-seeking nature of the comments thrown down in forums such as this no doubt fuels many an individual's fire. Fine. Let them judge what they read here. Doesn't necessarily follow that it is true or indicative of the real state of affairs.

I'm sure other "reps" (as we are called) would help, but when we are constantly attacked from every angle, is this right? Would you reply to this constant antagonism?

What then? At every opportunity I try to resolve something, somebody else throws more fuel on the fire! Not exactly progression or problem-solving is it?

My motive has never changed: to help people make an informed choice of their own. The individual decides which way they turn. Commission doesn't come into it - and never has.

You will all have to believe that. No doubt many will not. That is their choice and their prerogative. It's true.

As it has been brought to my attention that certain remarks are defamatory I have edited some of my remarks as it is not my intention to make personal attacks on representitives of TPlus and apoligise if I have caused offence. Should there be any more of my posting of which are seen to be of a personal insult I will be happy to review them and if I find that the post is out of context I will be happy to edit or remove it,with an apoligy of course.

    Mark, COS,

The impression I get is that TPlus reps are not supported very well by the organisation.

My problems have been caused by customer support giving me contradictory information on several ocassions (all listed with dates further up).
If they told me how they were going to sort out the small problem of my disputed start reading then that would be fine, but to be told something different every time is very frustrating because you cannot progress the problem and get it sorted out.

Lewis did try to help but they wouldn't give him much information about my account (presumaby because of the data protection act).

TPlus reps did not seem to know about the price increases or have any information about the postal problems.
It would appear that Tplus are now sending out bills earlier, however nothing has been announced and reps don't seem to know anything about it.

I blame the company and not the reps (although obviously the reps are going to get some criticism becuse they do represent the company).

Mark - Some time ago a lot of distributors came onto this site telling us how fantastic it was and the "cheapest".
Some have found the claims to be untrue about the pricing and some of us have had poor service (late bills etc.).
You can surely understand why people want to express their opinions when what has been presented does not represent the actual experience.

I have had late bills, been unable to contact customer services at times (because they are shut), had unanswered emails, contradictory information about how my problem would be dealt with, complex tarrif and very confusing bills (I have a Maths degree but find the way they present the information totally confusing).

I also feel that sometimes, the problems we have experienced have been trivialised.
I have been out of pocket by £60 for about 2 months becuase TPlus used the wrong reading (and couldn't manage to sort it out without MY intervention).
This has not been a problem for me because I am well off (and it seems to me that yourself and Lewis are too).
However not everyone is so well off and for some people (who live with very tight budgets) this would be a significant problem to be without this kind of money.
The problem of late bills again I feel was trivialised.
All I can say is that not everyone has hundreds of pounds floating round in their account to be able to cope with mistakes. Some people on these boards are close to repossession or struglling with debt. Not having time to deal with an incorrect bill is not a trivial matter for some people.

    Cheers
    Lisa
