It would be great if we could all get one.

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies

    Any update on this??

I am a customer and still waiting for mine - I think I have to wait 28 days, so another week or two, or maybe they ran out of them?

Im an Npower customer and I'm sure I ordered this ages ago and I'm STILL waiting for mine so chances are it wouldn't have turned up for the masses even if they didn't change the offer.

If anyone really wants one but can't get the freebie, most Asdas have an energy monitor for £27, which I think is the same thing as NPower are offering, as it's too expensive just to be one of those simple plug in one appliance at a time monitors which are usually £7 or less. Or online: http://direct.asda.com/Owl-Wireless-Electricity-Monitor/001127622,default,pd.html

anyone thinking of getting this from the asda website might want to check in there local store first as the same one thats for sale for £27 on the site was selling for £15 in my local asda 2 days ago and didnt seems to be a special offer it was on the same isle as the lightbulbs

    back on topic

ordered one of theese ages ago and not recieved it yet
got a feeling it will be just the same as the british gas one that never turned up
  • In you live in suffolk you can get one free for three weeks from local libraries. maybe other libraries are doing them
Suffolk have 300 and as waiting list is over 400 you have to wait a bit (5 weeks for me) then you can keep it for 3 weeks but can't renew as others have reserved it.
Quite an eye opener when you switch the tumble dryer on!!
and the spot lights in the lounge!!!!!!!!!!
good to see just how much it costs for some things as you can enter your tarrif cost in (its a british gas one!)
Thanks to MSE savings we got to go to Disneyworld Florida.

Mine has arrived. Applied for it a few weeks ago following a mailing from them (didn't see this post).

We originally hired one from our local library (Leeds, West Yorkshire). Other libraries are proboably doing something similar. (Ours only allowed us to borrow it for a week).

I would be interested to know though, how much energy does the unit itself consume!!
