My meters are in a cupboard on the outside of my house so will I not be able to use this if it arrives?

We've got one (not the same model as the Npower one) installed in an outside meter cupboard - the sensor thingy goes round the meter wire - and communicates wirelessly with the display thingy in the house. So, assuming this one works the same way you shouldn't have a problem.

The version we have does not require any info adding to it about usage or rates - it just displays current wattage in use, and (I think) there's an option to convert that, roughly, to pence. But just the wattage reading is good enough to keep an eye on what you're using. You soon get a feel for normal background consumption v consumption when the oven, microwave, kettle, tv, computers etc are all on. Very educational.... And sometimes quite alarming...
