How easy/difficult are these to install? It says "please ensure you have safe access to your meter and wires so that you are able to fit the device or arrange for someone else to fit it"

Dead easy, 30 second job, clamp the sensor round the thick wire from the house meter, switch the display on, job done.

You have to download your average unit usage into the machine but due to all of the energy companies (and phone companies) confusion pricing policies nobody knows what a unit costs.
Its useful to watch initially how everyday electrical items move the 'scale' but after a few days its another item that goes into 'the cupboard'.
Please don't fret if you don't get one - just a marketing 'green' issue from the worst performing energy company and they probably sell all your details on.
  • ooh thank you so much i have wanted one of these for ages as me and dh are always arguing over what uses lots of energy in our house!

Thanks Tiggerkian, I have just ordered one without any problems (didn't have to put a telephone number in). Looking forward to it arriving :j

My meters are in a cupboard on the outside of my house so will I not be able to use this if it arrives?
