Free npower home energy monitor

And pretty much to the day it took 9 1/2 weeks! If you are an NPower customer, login to your account and click the order box for free energy monitor if it isn't greyed out because it's on order already. Take care upon installation to not misunderstand what wire you need to put the monitor cable on, be careful not to unscrew anything that could be hazardous. If in doubt, call a qualified person as electric shocks ain't fun (I've had a few in the distant past and been very lucky so far. Or in the words of the mystic, allegedly "It was not your time!" :rotfl: ).
Thanks.
cheers for the infocant remember when I ordered mines.
Ive had my fair share of electric shocks aswell, been lucky so far, doing live mains is never re-comended, and for me is almost certainly a thing of the past :rotfl:0 -
For anyone still holding out hopes of receiving the energy monitor - after all the website still has -
The promotion was hugely popular and we're still in the process of sending the monitors out to customers so its taking a little longer to reach everyone. We're so sorry for the delay.
If you are not a customer, we're sorry but the promotion was only open for npower customers. The offer you applied for was intended to be seen by npower energy customers only as the free energy monitor was available as part of the 'switch to npower' process. The link to the form that you completed was contained in an e-mail sent out to new npower customers part way through this switch process and was only ever meant for them. It appears that both the link and web page were publicised to non-npower customers too as a result of being posted without npower's knowledge or consent on non-npower websites advertising free goods. Therefore as a non-npower customer we are unable to fulfil your request.
I've just received a reply from customer services
Account number: xxxxxxxx
Thank you for your recent email Mr xxxxxxxx
We are sorry but at present we are unable to issue home energy monitors. The offer at the time was subject to availability and as such we have no further monitors to issue.
As this offer was successful we may look at repeating it again when we are able to.
We wish to advise that this matter has been logged with our complaints department (ref 97742099). This will help improve future service to you and other npower customers.
If you wish to discuss this further or have any other query please contact us by email by visiting our website www.npower.com or by phone on 0845 672 0073. Our opening hours are 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 6pm on Saturday.
We apologise that we are unable to help you at this time.
Kind regards
Paul Appleton

Hi VoucherMan
Sorry to hear about the trouble you've been having trying to get hold of one of the monitors. They have been really popular!
There's obviously some confusion somewhere but don't worry - you are entitled to one and we'll be popping one in the post to you as soon as we can.
Again, sorry for the confusion.
Thanks,

I appreciate your comments, but if he's already been told he's not getting one (and you don't know who he is in terms of nPower customer details) then your comments don't have much weight.
I joined Np in April partly because of the offer of a free monitor, and have yet to see it arrive. It's now 6 months, so if nPower can't supply one they ought to be putting an equivalent sum off my bill.
NB Previous posters have said to login to your account and look in 'preferences' to see if one has been ordered - well I managed to login and cannot even see a 'preferences' tab or button, and I've been through each and every option to check for sure.I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing!

Hi laticsforlife,
I was able to check VoucherMan's eligibility as he actually included his reference number in his forum post.
Don't worry about logging into your account, just email forumresponse@npower.com response with your details and we can look into this for you.
Cheers,
Sally

Seems it may have worked for the better this time.
I'll post an update if and when I have one for anyone who's still waiting .0 -
Confused?
You may well be!
First I get a reply from Npower-
The offer at the time was subject to availability and as such we have no further monitors to issue
Then a follow up from the npower rep
we'll be popping one in the post to you as soon as we can.
which suggests they haven't any but will be getting some.
Then Martin's weekly email
There are around 170,000 available until stocks last.
:xmassign: I think I'll send a letter to Santa. Probably more chance of getting one.0 -
I received on from British Gas in 3 days! Am amazed at just how much electricity an electric shower takes!! Back to the good old days of a bath once a week!0

Arrived at last.
How's that for prompt service? Not!!
I think this one has come from their more recent promotion which I applied for.
Right, time to see how much those Christmas lights cost to run.
(thanks to those who tried to help - Npower rep, MSE Archna)0
