Doesn't sound correct, as far as I know all you do is carefully put it round the large supply cable, just like clipping a clothes peg to a line and some magnet or sensor picks up when your consumption is drawing on the current. I wouldn't go opening any boxes. If the instructions are not crystal clear to you then get someone qualified to clarify them rather than filling in any blanks yourself. Sorry to go all nanny on you but better safe than looking like someone in a comedy sketch with hair on end and smoke coming out of their ears!Escaped from Barnet to freedom in the South-East!0 -
