Free npower home energy monitor

I applied for mine on the 17th and had it arrive last friday (the 21st) am an Npower customer if thats any help.

I contacted N Power, here is their fairly quick reply:-

Good afternoon Mr Windsor,

In response to your recent email I can confirm that the dispatch dates for the monitors are 6 weeks minimum. This is due to the popularity of the monitors.

This would mean that this is your 6th week since your order was placed, if you have not received this within the next 2 weeks you can escalate this as an official complaint. You can either call customer services on 0800 551555, or directly to our complaints team on 0845 0704856.

I hope this is satisfactory, thank you for your email.

Never got mine. The only thing I did receive was the unwanted spam calls which I now get twice a day. Their number is - 08451110272. Really hope nobody else has to suffer like this!

my Eon one arrived this morning, but I'm having trouble clipping the jaw to the right cable. Have tried all 4 obvious ones and a few others too but monitor still shows as 000. Broke two fingernails and got a crick in my neck! Taking a calm down break

Problem resolved by moving the Jaw lead plug from middle hole to right hand side hole on the underneath of the transmitter

Well, still haven't got mine. They told me a minimum of 6 weeks, am a fair bit past the minimum at almost 8 weeks now, but will it come at the fabled 9 1/2 weeks point...? Or never? Stay tuned for the next thrilling instalment.

I am sorry we are taking so long in regards to you receiving your home energy monitor.

I have just spoken to our back office and due to the significant increase in popularity

the demand for the item has gone up,unfortunately there is now a twelve week backlog.

If by the stated time you have still not received the item please contact our complaints

team on 08450704856 and they will be happy to progress your query.

Just to add to Voucherman's post, I have also been told the same extended waiting time now, but apparently those registered to NPower online can login and check on their preferences section to see if the monitor has already been ordered or not.

On the other hand, eBay probably still has some going for a fiver if you prefer not to wait.

The man at NPower was right...it's here and it is almost exactly at 9 1/2 weeks !

Found it outside this morning behind a flowerpot in a white polylope, although no other post came today. If I could post an attachment I'd post a photo of the envelope as inspiration for all who have waited this long! Do not give up hope - everything comes to (s)he who waits!
