I live in a flat so my meter is miles away (down three flights of stairs and through four doors). I assume this wouldn't work for me?

Have they changed this offer? Says on the site 'when you switch to npower'?

It's trying to link your account number and postcode together when you register and add an account to get the free energy monitor now.

Martin might want to amend his tip that's about to go out!

Hmmm - seems you might have to be a cust or switch to them now! Shame, I was getting quite excited for a minute.

Yep the offer has changed previously it was for anyone - but now you have to sign up if you're not a customer ...
  • Think I'll give that one a miss then as last time we were with Npower is wasn't the greatest experience. When I went on the website just now to order monitor, I thought I was missing something - hence why I looked for a thread to see if anyone else was experiencing the same problems as me ie. you have to become a customer to get your free monitor.
  • Just noticed MSE's home page on this is being rapidly changed!
Don't tell them your name, Pike! :D
  • Hi folks,

Yep nPower changed the offer at the last minute last night, without telling us, just as we were about to go massive on it in the weekly email.

We are currently speaking to them about what on earth happened - they've confirmed that the page detailing the deal changed - and we had it in writing from them that it was open for non-nPower customers too.

Fair to say we aren't in the best mood about it here, but will keep you up to date as and when we know anything!
