    Hi craftingmaid,

Just wanted to pop in and say a big well done for all your achievements. If it makes you feel any better my OH also isn't on board with the overpayment thing. He doesn't even want to sit down and talk about it!!

Its slightly different for us as we both work full time (tho technically I'm main breadwinner, which he hates:D). I have control of the joint account so just don't tell him what I'm up to. We have only just started our journey so don't feel to bad for doing it the moment, and as long as he gets his treats he isn't to worried!!

Good luck with everything. If I had achieved half as much as you had in such a short time I would be so pleased with myself. Just keep up the good work and if you are going to be sneaky, make sure he doesn;t see the annual mortgage statement or he will soon learn what you have been up to!!:p

    Hello Craftingmad :hello:

I'm another card-maker, normally to be found over on the Card-making thread on the Special Occasions board. I too have decided (just last night in fact) to put the £200 a month I spend on craft-stuff into mortgage ops - will I survive the withdrawal symptoms, watch this space.

Congrats on your savings / earnings for April :T and good luck for May.

Gosh Babysteps - you sound just like me. I too am in charge of the finances and have an oh who doesn't like discussing ops and is happy as long as he has his treats. I have been sneakily overpaying on the mortgage for the past year but he did like it when I 'fessed up and told him that the term was down from 18 to 5 years. My mission now is to see how many more ops I can sneakily make without him griping about me scrimping :rotfl:.

Cold turkey is not good - I can tell you! But when I saw the savings I was making it really helped me get over my craft addiction. As soon as the mortgage is paid off I may well be back to my old ways though!

Don't worry whenever you feel a craving let me know and we'll go through it together.

I was thinking about maybe putting together a swap club - where each months members swap a ceratin amount of stash (such as some stamped images, embellishments etc with another member) so that we all get something new without spending any pennys. What do you think?

Also wow - reducing mortgage from 18 years to 5 is very impressive - well done you!

I do the comps too, did 161 yesterday, Have you had a look at Loquax? they have the magazine ones in order and puzzler.com You can check by doing search and comps www ending today and then you can look at what are finishing over the next few days. Its easier that way.

    Hi Pammy,

Wow 161 in one day! Thats amazing.

Thanks for tips. I shall be using them to boost my numbers entered.

You are making me realise that i need to be doing the daily clicks on pigsback and also trying to enter some competitions too. If i am on here anyway then might as well.

How many more things can a SAHM try to squeeze in one day?

I'm thinking i might need to make myself a check sheet to remember it all.:D

I thought that as well Cha, I always forget things that I should have done but i dont have enough hours in the day to do them!

Crafting, 161 sounds a lot but some of that is doing 10 on one mag entry :o but they are seperate entries to different comps so I count them as seperate.
