What a great milestone to reach with your mortgage and your CC has come down a lot too - well done you.
How are the holiday preparations going?June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Thanks guys, I am chuffed to get under £150k, I even told dh and he was pleased (this is the same husband that when I asked him to guess how much we had op'd the mortgage by since last may,he replied - nothing?) :rotfl:
The holiday prep is going great if you count going to mr s and spending the voucher dh gave me on breakfast stuff, sweets, crisps and wine. Other than that all I have done is a bit of washing.
Still have lots of ironing and packing to do, and still the kids are buying the story that all the suitcases are in my bedroom as I'm clearing out my wardrobe.:pMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
My packing hasn't gone great either. Some washing done today. Some clothes of the kids are sat on my bed waiting to go into a bag.
It would be a darn sight easier if DS2 hadn't worn 4 sets of clothes again today as i haven't the foggiest what to take for him for 4 days, or what the weather will be doing. Oh well.
We will get there. Still 2 days to go.0 -
Thats the problem, they wear so much stuff! I have packed the boys clothes now but not the rest.
Today I've been through the accounts and made an op of £8 which was an odd bit left. I have decided to take £250 away, plus I have already spent £58 on food and drink and £35 in petrol to top up to a full tank, but got £50 off the food and petrol thanks to my mr.s voucher.
We could spend less, but I don't want to be scrimping over everything while we are away and the money was an unexpected bonus.
So out of the £1500 I will be given there will be £900 left to go towards op's or possibly the o%cc.
Other news is we have been accepted for the new 0% lloyds card, but with a limit of 5k (we needed £6934), we are able to transfer a max of £4750 to this for a 1.98% fee, for 14 months. So I shall try and get rid of the remainder of our old card asap, then probably might split the £4750 over the 14 month period. I did consider saving it and clearing it at the end but I think for me the temptation is too great to spend it. It seems a bit daft to clear it all by the end of the year like I planned to as I might as well have the benefit of it interest free for 14 months.
Anyway I need to unglue myself from the sofa and do some packing.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

Copy what it says exactly. Paste it into the box on the home page (top right of page) and submit, and it gives you the points.
Code above is still active now.0 -
Thanks michelle, I did it but I was too late and the code had expired.
I've packed the clothes but nothing else yet, will have to get up really early to finish and also drop the dog at the inlaws. But for this evening I have run out of steam.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
